I am so so happy Harmony opened back up! I went on opening day the service was excellent, the food was spectacular (the onions, I die they are so good), and the Chef even came out to talk to me and my group even though he was so busy.
Also, omg opening day. They had four men singing a barbershop quartet as we were waiting in line, and they were giving out prizes in the line too!
What a great Waterloo staple. I can't wait to try their breakfast options. I love Harmony!
I visited the newly renovated Harmony Lunch yesterday, and the food and service was absolutely delightful! I cannot wait to go back with friends! The staff was so pleasing to deal with, and the service was really quick. I had their chicken burger and fries and they were to die for! Highly recommended.
The food was tasty. Questioned the cost of some of the items on the menu, but there are definitely a few cost effective alternatives. Service staff were wonderful, food arrived in a timely manner, and the atmosphere was relatively pleasant. Perfect for tea, eating solo, dinning with a group, family meals and more.
Took my two ladies there for a impromptu late dinner tonite.
Not sure why so many people give poor/lacklustre reviews. I had their their double pork burger (sans fromage) and the ladies both had BLTs. Fries, gravy and cheese sauce (which the ladies loved) rounded off the meals. We all liked our food ... I thought that the pork burger was very flavourful (loved all the onions!) and the ladies wanna come back for the sandwiches (so I guess they liked it a lot as well).
Our waitress was actually very friendly and attentive, and service was quick enough. We have no complains about going there tonite. Prices are a bit high when compared to other fast food joints, but when compared to other unique/specialty burger restaurants or pubs in K/W, the prices are actually in line and fair.
We'll be back.
I haven't been to Harmony Lunch before the renovations but I quite like what they did with this. Good ol' diner feel but sloppy delicious burgers and comfortable ambiance. People were very friendly too.
Service was not so great, specifically our server. The cook was the only one working. Our muscle bound server (never introduced himself) looked bored, hardly paid attention. Cosmetically nice venue. The garage door is a part of the hipster starter pack, but will be nice when it's open so I can't knock the trend. The lil breakfast was portioned well for the $, but the food is good. Much improved for sure. FOH staff are really green. Hopefully it comes together. Edit: service improved noticeably when Nat came in. Staff woke up. As per other review kids options would be nice for families. 4 stars for food. 1 for pre-nat service. 3 stars for post Nat service.
Edit: Came back a couple weeks later. Service was much, much better. Night and day in fact. Waffles were a hit. The lack of a kids menu is still an oversight keeping this from 5 stars.
Best Burger in town, really based on the party flavour and texture. Forever onions help. Add in the giant milkshakes, and you have a winning meal every time. I don't like any of their preparations of potatoes, but to me that is forgivable given the great burgers.
Stopped by today for a lunch at the invitation of our granddaughter who attends Laurier.
I had the best chocolate shake in a long time and their lunch menu was great. I had the Harmony pork burger with the works and a side of
onion rings it was good and very filling.
Also the granddaughter shared with her Gma the BLT with fries (which are too die for) and salad which was very good.
No one went home hungry.
The milkshakes are so HUGE! I ordered a blueberry milkshake and it tasted superb. Also the pork patty is really good and it's so fulfilling. The stuff is friendly but the onion rings are a bit salty. Definitely recommend especially if you want to support local businesses.
