Excellent coffee. I had an Americano for my first try, and it may very well be the best I've had. Victoria has some good coffee spots, but I'm so excited that ERC's deliciousness is in my neighbourhood! A must try, for sure!
The flat white was the best I've had outside of Queensland. There's a nice variety of quality coffee bevvies. Welcome to the neighbourhood!
ERC has the most flavourful lattes in town, they make it impossible for me to enjoy a latte pretty much anywhere else.
I can't speak to the food as I have haven't eaten there due to allergies. The service is friendly and very knowledgeable.
The coffee was very good. I had an americano, and it was just the right temperature as well as well flavoured. The almond croissant was very good, but I wish it had been bigger. The pumpkin scone was very good and a nice size. It wasn't too sweet and comes with butter but you need to ask for it. It open onto a large hallway that is lined with artwork. There is lots of seating and it's quite modern and bright. Lots of options for food as well as coffees.
This is a fantastic addition to the area!! The coffee and service are spectacular and I would strongly recommend their breakfast sandwich! I also hosted a couple events, called ahead and picked up their cookies (their gingersnap cookies are mind-blowingly delicious) and other snacks - and they were a huge hit! I just wish they had a loyalty punch card.

Quickly stopped here for a coffee and immediately noticed the delicious smelling treats. The barista was very friendly and ready to take our order. Nice atmosphere inside and good seating. Looks conveniently located next to the library too! Coffee was excellent. Looking forward to returning and trying some food.
I almost hesitate to praise this cafe as it gets busy enough as it is. Having visited many great cafes all over, I can say this is one of my favourites. It is easily the best one in the Victoria region. I will fast become a regular here as my schedule permits. Excellent flat white, proper macchiato (not some milky mess like other cafes), just an espresso bar done right. They're knowledgeable, skilled, and offer high quality eats as well. Easily the best breakfast sandwiches I've had of late with a perfect brioche bun, delicate omelet, cheese, pesto, fresh tomato, and bacon.

And it drew a more critical eye. Is it deserved?
Looking more closely than usual, there were a couple of nits: cashier mixed up the drink order (no Americano please) but this was quickly resolved, milk foam did have some large-ish bubbles (see picture) and the chocolate croissant / pain au chocolate was only average.
That said, the large latte was delicious. Remarkably so. Espresso was thus beautifully dialed in given the amount of milk.
The space / location is fantastic. Love the branded table legs and the feature big-leaf maple live edge group table. Little touches like power outlets at the booth tables are appreciated.
I entered from the laneway side, and it almost seemed closed. And even possibly low budget with the hours crayons onto the window.
Entering, though, exposed a beautiful space. The other side is majestic, opening onto a lovely courtyard with a HUGE accordion doorway.
Talk about inviting. You just want to find an excuse to put off the days business and hang out here all day long.
This cafe is very nice! I love their selection of baked items and delicious drinks. When I didn't know what drink to get off the menu, I asked the barista for a recommendation. I got the perfect drink! It was just the right amount of sweetness for me and it really hit the spot. The food was great as well.

Absolutely delightful little coffee shop in Esquimalt town square. They have such a great menu with a wide variety of drink options. Their baked good are also delicious.
Being in the same building as the library was so cool. I arrived early to meet a friend so I rented a short story to read while waiting for a friend.
I will definitely be back here soon and recommend it to EVERYONE.
Easily the best coffee shop in Esquimalt, and might be the best in the CRD. The staff are happy to help educate their customers with their top notch coffee knowledge and barista skills. Their space is incredibly well designed, and is a gem of the Esquimalt community. ERC is always busy, and it’s no wonder, everything they do is quality.
