Got the chicken club, outstanding sandwich, the side salad was equally amazing. Found the setting nice, the beer selection not quite to my taste but definitely adequate. The service was decent. I did find it a little cold, wanted my jacket on. But overall a great pub, will visit again next time I find myself in Victoria.

Went for Wednesday wing night and it was awesome. More people should know about this place for wing night. They were crispy yet moist. The staff here is great and they have a great drink menu. The sauce selection was limited and could use a few more flavours. Not a crowded place so feel free to come in a large croud.

the service,impeccable,I'm a waiter for 25 years and never had a better dining experience. service was relaxed,yet attentative. my waiter executed my evening choices with skill, thought and excellence with perfect attention to every detail. the food, was a far cry from my last, off the shelfe musscle dinner. this time, the apitizer or calamari was tender, and the most delicious mouth full of not chewy, perfectly seasoned,battered, and prepared food I have ever eaten. the grilled cheese sandwich was a masterpiece. I didn't want to cut it, it was displayed and presented so expertly and the preparation was above and beyond my expectations of a grilled cheese. this place, and it's staff can be proud of putting Victoria on the map of one of the top 5 restaurants in the city for relaxed, comfort food prepared with skill and care of a chef and a kitchen that is worthy of such great servers.
I'm astonished, I must return soon as I ran out of cash to properly tip my server.

Redds was super accommodating for our group of 13 that came through at 9:00 pm after baseball. The Food was really good and well priced and the service was really impressive for our size of group and how high maintenance we were!!! Thanks Tessa!!!

Good pub food . Friendly staff, most were very efficient. Interesting daily specials. Better now the heating is fixed, was freezing before. Different bartenders on different nights. Jessica is great.

A great place to meet a friend for a burger and beer. The ambiance here is great,, never seems to be too crowded.. a wonderful outside patio and big screen TV's to watch the game. I have never been disappointed with the food and the montreal smoked meet sandwich is to die for.

It's got a great local pub atmosphere with the energy of a downtown bar. Karaoke every friday night and highballs are usually on sale. Wing wednesday is great too, the food here is well priced and fairly good quality. It's a little bit hidden in the comfort inn but I'm glad I found it. The wings are twice the size of the ones at the shark club, so skip that place and come here instead!

Our favourite pub!. Redd's has been through lots of changes in the 18yrs we/ve been sharing date night there, but one thing that remains constant is the superior quality of the food! More choice than your average pub menu with ample portions & cooked to perfection- the steak sandwich is delicious , the burgers yummy & the creative black/bleu salad is scrumptious as well as healthy for you! They have daily food & dring specials so always something to look forward too!<br/>The bar manager is a delight, welcoming and creating a cheerful atmosphere & the staff always aim to please!<br/>Truly our favourite place to be!

Seating capacity = 300, actual customers = 4 (go figure...). End of an era... was just @ Redds and I've been coming here for 15 YEARs, and never had as bad service as I did today. From not getting served for 10mins. (btw, only 2 tables with customers at this time), to Servers not knowing the menu, or rather the time the Wings special starts, to telling me I had to toss out the remain 1/2lb of wings, instead of offering something like tin foil to take them home. The server mumbled something about wanting to keep her job....wow!<br/>only person who seemed to know how to treat customers, was the bartender. thx dude. was appreciated. <br/>I’d spent $20 and was expecting about 7 other friends to show up. little did they know I told my friends about the bad service and they all voted to hit up elsewhere. then they spent close to $200.<br/>Maybe servers need to rate keepin their job on customer service... just a thought :)

Went to Redds quite a bit a few years ago AMAZING food and prices, friendly staff great experience! Went back two weeks ago and were very sadly disappointed! Our waitress kept calling me lady I'm not kidding every time she talked to me it was lady this, lady that! LMAO Burger choices sucked and to add toppings to these lame choices was 1.65! Fine I ordered the halibut burger and my partner ordered the Hawaiian chicken burger where was the meat??? I'm serious it was so small on both burgers. And the fries???? A little cup of fries really in a cup? What happened to going to a pub and getting a nice big burger and PLATE of fries??? So we get the bill and go to pay... Wait for it... Mandatory 18% tip!!! Where's my choice?!?! So for a beer, cider and 2 burgers we paid $58! Never, ever going back!

Borderline at Best. We sat on the patio unobserved for at least ten minutes...even though the waitress had walked right by us as we entered. Finally my hubby went in to the grubby interior and hunted someone down. The gentleman who served us was really nice, and swiftly brought us our draft beers, at the same time taking our dinner orders.<br/><br/>After a 30(!) minute wait in an almost empty pub, his burger ($1.65 extra for cheese!) and my "wing special" one pound of wings ($0.50 extra for dip...really??) arrived. Thw wings were heavily breaded, served (at my request) without sauce. They were incredibly bland and boring, but were not greasy. The burger was on one of those weird "pretzel" buns, and was pedestrian and boring. Again...not dreadful, just not great. Fries were meagre and just like any frozen fries....boring. <br/><br/>None of this was cheap, and the wait was crazy long. The man who served us was really apologetic and nice, and we know that the long wait was not his fault. Final word? If you're staying at the Comfort Inn, you have an option for food. That's as nice as I can be.

It seems mostly Locals know about this hidden gem in the heart of Victoria. Small pub atmosphere with incredible food, Reasonably priced, a great place for an excellent meal. Gluten free options are also available! <br/><br/>Excellent Wings , Burgers and Pizzas

For a first timer it was a pretty good experience. Our server was friendly and there, which is hard to find in most pubs. The atmosphere was dated, but that's what a good pub should be. The food was just what we wanted for pub food. Big and juicy burgers! The only problem was no onion rings to be found:( and the fries were crap. Soggy and a small order. I hate these pubs that try and be unscale by making home fries and then serving them in those stupid fancy bowls on a pub plate. It's a pub, so I want pub food. That means a heaping side of macain fries on the plate touching the burger if they must. I don't want fancy pantsy fries in a pretty bowl. That's why I don't go to the gorge pointe pub. You're not a pub when you serve fancy crap and yam fries. Pool tables, tv's, beer, wings and hockey, that's pub! Overall I will try Redds again.

Poor Customer Service. A group of friends and I have been regulars at Redds for many years for UFC PPV events.<br/>At a recent event the proporieters decided not to provide the PPV but posted no notification to this effect.<br/>At 15 minutes to start one of our group asked when it would be on, and were told it wouldn't be,<br/>We decided to go to another establishment and asked that our outstanding food orders be cancelled.<br/>We were told we would have to pay for the outstanding food orders and we could wait around to receive them.<br/>We paid and left. Did not wait for the food - needed to get to an establishment that was doing the event.<br/>We wrote to the manager after the fact indicating that this was an extremely poor customer service - being held hostage for undelivered food - but received no response from the manager.<br/>We won't be going back to Redd's. There are many other places in Victoria who treat their clientelle respectfully.

No Good. I've tried this place out many times and the last time there were feathers on the chicken they served 2 of us!!!! Yes that's right, feathers still in the chicken and they served it to us. How does a cook & server not notice that! It was pretty noticeable. The food has never been very good, you can't hear anything in the place because it sounds like you're in a tin can. I'll never be back

Pleasant surprise!. The wings are excellent...without all that awful breading that so many places coat their wings in. <br/>We've also been trying the new house made pizzas which are wonderful! I also went for a clubhouse sandwich once and it was good as well. The Caesar dressing is homemade and not from a bottle. What a relief.<br/><br/>This place is a hidden gem. Lots of parking, always room to sit and the inside of the Pub is spotlessly clean. (This is probably because it is joined to the Comfort Hotel and they use the same cleaning staff. )Regardless, I appreciate the cleanliness...especially in the washrooms. <br/><br/>I was reading some of the older reviews, but have not encountered any of the same issues as previous posters.

Worst service I've ever had in my life. The waitress didn't write anything down, got my friend's order wrong, our drinks wrong, and completely forgot to bring me my meal. It took us 20 minutes to even get her attention to tell her about the wrong order and my missing meal. She didn't clear a single thing from the table, and didn't appologise for a thing. We were a table of 4 and not one of us got everything we asked for right.

Needless to say I wasn't looking forward to eating here. Its in a hotel, the atmosphere takes you back to the 90s with the all the oak and green tabletops, and the servings are huge. Philly cheesesteak is awesome, the chowder is superb and the prices are very reasonable. Pleasantly surprised!!

Bad service. I used to go here all the time because it is a close walk to my house and the service was generally good. However, I will not be going back here because the last few times I have gone, the service has been non existent. There are way better places to go where the food is excellent and decently priced, and the staff is actually friendly and doing there job.

What happened. Started going to Redds about a year ago. What a great place it WAS. Went in there a couple of weeks ago and i will never be back. Prices went way up and portions went way down in everything, ecspecially in beer. Seems that they have had huge turn over in staff. the new staff was friendly enough but they show you the meaning of wait in waitress. Sad customer. Victoria B.c

Service is horrible. Redd's was my favorite place to go after work. Lately the service has been awful. It seems like all the girls who used to work there are gone and a bunch of new people have been hired. I'm not sure what happened to everyone but it sure is a shame because they used to have the best staff. Redd's no longer feels like home. I'll just have to find another after work watering hole!

Would not recomend Redd's. I used to be a regular there, I have since stopped going. They treat their staff poorly. They have raised the price of their beer and changed from pints to sleeves. Not only have they started to charge more, they are giving you less. I will never go back there again.

Even though the pub was almost empty, the food took over 40 minutes to arrive, which I think is unacceptable, especially given that the area is filled with the working lunch crowd who are on a limited time schedule. Had it not been for the fact that we got the meal for 50% off thanks to the Groupon, we would’ve walked away feeling like we had overpaid for a very sub-par meal. Regardless, we were still very disappointed, and won’t be returning to Redd’s Pub again.
