The Tropical Island Restaurant - Victoria - Photo album

The restaurant we planned to go to were about to close for the night so we went to Tropical Island. We got there after a short drive. From the outside the place looked small but it is actually bigger inside. The menu has lot of choices. We had the coconut slush to start with. Ordered the Taiwan
The highlight of this dinner was definitely the beef ribs. Cooked fresh, sizzling on the plate, tender and loved the sauce over the ribs! 🤤 The roti with dipping sauce and the chowmein were also quite good. The food took a bit of time to come out but they did offer us some very tasty kettle corn whi
In a word... Amazing! I brought my wife and son here for our fifth anniversary. They provide a cozy, inviting atmosphere that relaxes and inspires. We started out with the Roti Canai and Popcorn Chicken. Excellent starters for a fine meal. We then proceeded to indulge with the Gu Loo Pork, Seaf
The BEST South East Asian cuisine in the town and the Pha Thai is my favorite. We had a very good dining experience in this little gem. I'm very pleased with the quality of food and the amazing services. The staff and the owner are very friendly and approachable. Many thanks for the delicious food a
The flavours were really good. Chicken wings were juicy and not overly salted. Pineapple fried rice was really flavourful. Good sized portions. I would definitely recommend to visit!
Small and neat restaurant with few tables. Furniture reminds anyone an authentic countryside resto. Ambiance is good. Ample parking. Service is good. Food is must try, quality is good for the price. Spice level was customized as per our needs
This place is amazing! The owners are very nice, the menu is full of amazing food, and there are so many GF options, even for things like popcorn chicken and fried mushrooms (so amazingly delicious - I got both and they were so good). This one of the best restaurants I have been to in a while. It is
So far the best meal Ive had all year! Food was so delicious, an exposion of taste in every bite. Service was friendly and prompt. This small cuisine of asian flavors had lots of menu choices. Pinapple fried rice is a must have! I highly recommend dine in or take out!
Parking lot was small. Staff was very friendly and food was excellent. Would go back next time we're in Victoria.
Worth the visit. First time for me; not in my local. Nice unique menu. Enjoyed our selections. Will be back with others next time. Hi, back again. Hopeful for a repeat performance.
Food are amazing here. Deep fried tofu and chicken wings are a must have. Roti is also amazing, we have to order second. Staff are super helpful and attentive.
Excellent! Best Cantonese food in town says my Cantonese partner and I agree. Relatively inexpensive, perfectly cooked, crispy vegetables, el dente noodles, tender meat. So nice and quiet as well. No loud music or tvs.
So many gluten-free options, it made my celiac heart very happy! It’s been so long since i’ve had asian food like this! Server was very friendly and prices were reasonable.
This place deserves a lot more recognition. The cuisine here is South-East Asian, with some Malaysian dishes like Char Kway Teow. The food has always been good every time I've ordered from here. I mostly ordered takeout (pandemic), but the restaurant decor and ambience was very pleasant the one time
Fresh, fabulous, best lunch in Greater Victoria. Two sampler plate offers for 2 ($39) or more persons is exceptional. We had the non-vegetarian special - spring rolls with pickled veggies, curry chicken, spicy beef, roasted veggies, rice. Individual combo plates also avail for lunch. Perfect, prompt
First time ordering takeout from this restaurant, and we loved it! The roti was incredible, though in my view for the price point it could be like 50% larger. The pad Thai was just wonderful, as was the fried flat rice noodles with basil sauce. We'll definitely be visiting again.
Absolutely delicious!!! The coconut fried rice and Tom Yum soup are to die for, very friendly and welcoming staff, and large portions. Everything is super fresh and they are very accommodating to food allergies as everything gluten free is labelled and most things can be made gluten free upon reques
AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE! Laksa and fried milk is as authentic as it gets! Highly recommend!
Oysters could be done better. It’s quite big with different sauce options, and $7 each. Idk if they always have such big oyster, but I won’t miss the next time if they do and also finish improving the sauce too.
