Service is amazing ..great atmosphere..I had the 4 mile burger and it was perfect... the Sunday roast beef dinner was so good my husband said ... also while I was Sitting on the amazing patio hehe a few people are regulars and knew the waitress... that is always a good sign as well ... I definitely will be back ...
The food is great, the staff amazing, the venue is beautiful. Truly a lovely place and experience. Come on over, get out of the hustle and bustle of the city and come enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of this restaurant.
Great food! Great service! We go to Four mile at least once a week! Our three young boys love the food and so do we! The restaurant staff are all lovely! Efficient and fast service in a great atmosphere. We highly recommend Four Mile Restaurant and pub! The Lams.
Went for a late lunch today. I had the Gorgonzola and poached pear pizza. Sounds strange but it was simply amazing! Had half there and the other half at home for dinner tonight. Service (Maressa) was perfect. Great to re-find such a wonderful pub.
Very nice looking pub inside and out. The meal options are quite good, and food quality is alright. Servers are friendly. The scenery around is very pretty. The place is generally quite comfortable.
Main irks are:
1. food isn't as high quality as the price suggests, I'd say meals here should be 15-20 bucks, rather than 20-30.
2. The servers are either overly pestering, or only come round every 20 minutes.
Our waitress was five star and more! The four of us had a variety, most from the Happy hour menu…3 hot and delicious roast beef sliders, seafood chowder, half order of natchos, lemon pepper wings, ice cold beers for $6.50 a pint and my driver quite liked the non alcoholic beer.
The food came relatively quickly and it was hot and tasty. Our waitress, gave us top notch service, checking on us, offering a taster for a beer we wanted to try, and overall had a lovely friendly manner about her. The entire pub was in the midst of getting all decorated for Halloween and looked cute spooky with giant spiders and webs. And mini pumpkins. The front entrance was the best so check out my photos of the skeletons who forgot to make a reservation. It is busy on Friday nights so for a sure thing just call to reserve. It’s close to home so I can walk there. Love it!
The place brimming with ambiance and a serene touch. The service was swift and efficient, complemented by delightful food and beer. My wife was particularly taken with the picturesque garden surrounding the venue. I thoroughly enjoyed their local brew, while our son, in his twenties, appreciated the pleasant young waiter attending to us. Overall, we were charmed by the entire experience – the setting, cuisine, drinks, and vibe.
The shrimp scampi was delicious. Very nice garlicky sauce with huge prawns. I didn't like my beer as the carbonation seemed off. Coconut pie tasted homemade and was good. Seafood chowder wasn't as peppery as I like but that's easily remedied with the pepper on the table. Service was decent.
What a lovely place for lunch. Beautiful setting as you enter. Dark wood interior but well lit. Three of us. Yorkie Sliders (5), cod Burger, bowl seafood chowder. All very good and we can recommend. John our server was very personable and drinks and food arrived in a timely manner. Prices are fair. Ample parking. Photos of menu with prices July 10/23. Update August 29. Stopped here again. John our server was very personable as he was on our first visit. Attentive to make that our drinks and food arrived in a timely manner. This time Yorkie sliders, Shrimp stuffed avocado, Beef Dip. All well prepared and delicious. All are a meal unto themselves. Same great ambience. I recommend going here.
Pub style food. It's good. Cosy atmosphere. Lots of parking.
Family dinner at the iconic Four Mile Brew Pub. We thoroughly enjoyed the gorgeously restored interior, delicious west coast cuisine and refreshing libations - some brewed on site! 🍻
What a magical spot just off the old Island Highway. I've been here a few times now over the years and have always thoroughly enjoyed the food here.
I had the wild mushroom gnocchi and my mother had the lobster mac & cheese. Both were very tasty but the wild mushroom gnocchi blew me away. The mushrooms are flashed fried and have a little crunch to them. The white sauce was rich but added more power to the plate. I can't stop thinking about it. Will be back for more.
Also, the patio vibe overlooking the inlet with the lots of plants was perfect for a sunny afternoon.
First time here and really enjoyed the place.
Waitress was great, friendly and attentive.
I had the stuffed mushroom caps with yam fries, delicious! My cousin had the calamari with French fries, the calamari was done to perfection.
They do need another handicapped parking space! They have one! Which was being used by someone with a handicapped sign. We also needed one.
3 separate experiences based on your mood- restaurant, pub and sports bar all in the one building. I personally like the sports bar best as it’s the most lively atmosphere. Some of the booths have their own tv, so it’s a great spot to catch the next game.
Food is always delicious. On Wednesday wine and wings are on special.
I really enjoy the atmosphere and feel of this pub! Despite it being busy, we didn't have to wait long for our drinks or food. The pasta I had was delicious, and I've always liked their craft beers. After dinner I brought my growlers down to the sports bar and got them filled quickly even though it was quite busy as well. I will always recommend this place, never had a bad experience!
Stopped in here for lunch....what a beautiful historical building (1858) with an interesting past! Food was amazing!! Try their chicken Tacos they are the BEST I have ever had!!! Service was FAST and staff were friendly 🙂
This is a nice neighborhood pub and restaurant. The food is tasty, the service is friendly. It can get pretty loud which is a bit of a challenge for aging ears. Prices are also rising to a point that even though it's everywhere, it still makes you think twice about dining out at a mid-price place like this. Overall, it's a good choice.
Excellent atmosphere, food and drink. Had a great time.
Love the food! Love the staff! Love the atmosphere! Everything on the menu is delicious. The restaurant, the pub and the bar all use the same kitchen so you can choose the atmosphere you want and still enjoy the same delicious menu. There are wheelchair accessible entrances (slight hill to the pub) and a wheelchair accessible washroom. The washroom is a separate room for those who may need assistance. There are only two parking spots for the disabled ... Not enough in my opinion as they are usually full.
Me and the lady had a pleasant experience at Four mile house! I had the pesto linguine with salmon. The salmon could maybe baked one less minute. All the flavours worked very well though! Wife had the roast beef and it was very tender. The honey garlic wings are super nice a crispy and the mushroom caps were super flavourful! Garlic toast was very well toasted crispy/soft and not chewy. The decor kinda creeps me a little.
A good place to hang out and eat when visiting the lagoon or royal road university garden. They have happy hour from 8:30 but the restaurant closes at 9. They have a beautiful front yard with lots of blooming flowers. Food has traditional fairs and some newer fusion like stir fry with rice noodles, like a pad Thai. The brewery is quite good with lots of people hanging out here.
This was our first time stopping in. We had the brunch items, eggs benny and breakfast poutine. All very well done and tasty. Only issue I wish the potato hash browns were crispy and not greasy. Eggs were cooked perfect.
Great selection of craft beer and regular beer. Their own beer is amazing.
Server was great and brought our drinks pretty quick after being seated. Great atmosphere in a very old building.
