Review Grazie Ristorante - Vaughan

It was pleasant experience with friendly server and atmosphere. Despite of many people, it was quiet fast serve and excellent food. Price is reasonable and food portion was good too. Just there were so many people waiting and also crowded, they might need to organize some system for the waiting. I wanted to share a pasta with my friend, they were happy to give us two separate dishes for that order. I would visit again :)

I love this restaurant. One of the best Italian restaurants hands down. We have been coming here for years. We always feel welcomed and get the best service every time. It has always been so busy before the pandemic and I am very happy that the things get better as the pandemic backs off. They have went through a lot of challenges; however, always strive for the best - decor, ambience, and menu outline improvements. Come here for Penza alone lol! Lots of dishes are to die for. I am sure everyone will find something that they love.

Really good food, friendly service always. They don’t take reservations and tend to get pretty busy as they get the traffic from Vaughan Mills. Worth the wait though

Grazie Ristorante is an Italian restaurant near Vaughan Mills with a bustling atmosphere. To begin, the service was a little slow to get us a table, to seat us, to get us water, and to give us menus. However, I will say despite being slow, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I can understand why service was slow due to a full-house, but surely if something could be improved on it would be the speed/efficiency of service. In regards to the food, it was pretty good; above average. The margarita pizza we had was well-balanced, although slightly burned. Overall, it was flavourful and simple. My pasta the Rico tried too hard to be something between a stew and a pasta and I wasn't a big fan of it. My friend's spaghetti and meatballs were really good though with the noodles cooked perfectly el dente. Overall, make sure you order the right dishes and you'll have a good experience. The ambience is nothing special, but it's nothing terrible either. In the end, considering everything, Grazie Ristorante is an upscale Italian restaurant that is pretty decent, but needs to re-evaluate some priorities to become "next level."

One of the best Italian restaurants in Vaughan. Food was cooked perfectly, and each had its unique flavour. Our table had a variety of dishes from the pasta and pizza menus, and the portion sizes were amazing. For the price and quality, this was worth every dollar. Not to mention they have unlimited bread - I use the bread to finish up the sauce in my pasta. Service is great, not hard to find your waiter/waitress. They let you into the bar if they make you wait for your table. Ample seating, but make sure to book in advance since this is very popular.

Great foood! The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! I would highly recommend this place! Carlos and Sarah added to our experience! Definitely dining here again

Arrived on time and had reservations for patio. Service was fast. I order the bruschetta and that was ok. Pasta was linguine rose with chicken and was very nice portion size was great and they give you some cold white free baguette with butter after you sit down.

Had the pear salad and rigatoni with a nice rosè. Place is a bit loud and they don’t do any modifications which I respect since the food is already well seasoned. Well worth the trip, will definitely be back. Ideal for a brunch but I would avoid going on the weekend as they are quite busy and it’s too loud for my liking . All the servers are very knowledgeable in pairings and matching dishes ( portion size, light vs heavy dishes) the one odd thing about the salad was that you essentially need to finish making it at your own table… as in shredding the prosciutto and parmigiana slices by hand vs the large pieces it comes with however it’s still a great dish. I ate the rigatoni before I could capture it because it was THAT GOOD. Highly recommend getting some bread and olive oil to enjoy the rest of the sauce with. Looking forward to the next visit 🥂

This is amazingly beautiful restaurant and the food served by it was definitely delicious.
we spent a great time here with my friends and left the restaurant the smile.

Mediocre experience at best. Felt rushed, server couldn't handle a large group. Food is decent, nothing out of the ordinary for Vaughan. Had better experiences here in the past.

Just ate at Grazie this evening. I have been to the Yonge street location a few times and it was my first time at the Vaughan location. The service was extremely disappointing! Our water did not get refilled, the server (Matt) made a few sarcastic comments. We spoke to 3-4 different servers since our server was no where to be found. At the end, we didn't feel he deserved a tip since the service was way below average. The server told us that HE would have to pay for the meal we just ate, which was shocking. We hope the restaurant is paying their servers a fair wage. Food was decent, but the service ruined our experience.

Terrible service. We had to ask multiple times for our drinks, each time a waiter passed they said they would bring some bread, but it never came. Food took way to long to be served and our pasta dishes were mediocre. Will not return. Go elsewhere!
Pablo
Very good restaurant and service. Plenty of vegetarian alternatives. I had the Torino. Warning: If you go with a group they will wait until everyone gets there before they seat you.

Name: Grazie RistoranteLocation: 9100 Jane Street, Unit 68-69, VaughanCuisine: ItalianPrice: $20-30 (per person). Whenever I'm craving Italian food, I always go to Grazie Ristorante because not only are they nearby, they have so many different kinds of fresh pastas and pizzas to choose from. I like this location because there's always space and I never have to wait for a seat.

The pasta here is so fresh! I've tried various pasta dishes and they are all really good! Also the staff is really nice and accommodating...

Well well well, this was an interesting night. Started off a little shaky but I guess they kinda redeemed themselves. To start off we ordered Ceasar salad and this pesto bread thing.. They said that Pesto bread thing was like a top seller... Someone's gotta tell me why because it was gross, as for the Cesar salad the dressing tasted really off. Anyways, that pasta tho :):):):):):) I ordered penne arabiatta or something along those lines because it is my favourite pasta dish and it was actually really good!!!!!! I can't remember what Pardis Parhizgar ordered but it also tasted good as well, Khaleel Washington got some seafood dish that I would never dare to try. Overall, we were all really satisfied with our pasta dishes so I would definitely recommend getting pasta.. However.. Buyer beware of those appetizers

I'm really torn about this place. On one hand, I want to come back to enjoy their delicious pasta again, but on the other hand I don't want to go back to a place that can't make a decent caesar salad.

Not only was the salad just lettuce and dressing (no delicious cheese or proper croutons) but the dressing tasted very odd and there was barely any of it. We also ordered a bruschetta pizza that tasted super boring. It was like plain cheese pizza type bread with chopped tomato and onions on top, very "meh".

The pasta however, was super delicious. I had the Penza and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The sauce was thick, rich and just flat our delicious. Aleesha had the Paesana, which was in my opinion a take on "pasta arriabata" and hers was also fantastic (we switched plates at one point). Khaleel Washington had a olive oil based pasta with shrimp and clams.

Overall, they know their pasta, but I wouldn't order much else on the menu.

We came the day after Mother's Day. Not too crazy busy :) Food was perfect & service was great! I see from other reviews that people didn't care for their dinning experience but my husband & I had a very enjoyable dinner.

Mrs Yumyum and Mr Skinny have always enjoyed Grazie Ristorante in the Toronto location. Since they have moved up north, they are now closer to the location in Vaughan. Their friends had a craving for pasta so suggested to meet up for dinner at the Vaughan location. This location is slightly larger and accept reservations (which is a big plus). They found the food and service was at par with the Toronto location. They started the night with the Grilled Octopus Special which came with the a Tiger Shrimp. It was Mrs Yumyum's favourite of the night. She could have had it as her entree since both the shrimps and octopus was cooked perfectly. They also ordered the Cozze Portofino (mussels in tomato broth) to share from their regular menu. This was a big disappointment. The flavour was good to dip the bread in, however, the mussels were extremely small. Everyone ordered pastas as their main course and had no complaints. Mrs Yumyum wanted to try to avoid carbs and ordered Grilled Veal Striploin. This dish was super flavourful and Mrs Yum and Mr Skinny both really enjoyed it. It was served with seasonal vegetables and topped with sundried tomatoes. Mrs Yumyum and Mr Skinny will definitely be back soon!

I have not been to Grazie in years. We were happy that our friends suggested to try the Vaughan location since they we did not have to deal with the long wait like the Toronto location and it is closer to us. This location takes reservations and I believe it is larger than the Toronto location. The food and service was just as good. Really enjoyed the appetizer special. We ordered two for our group of 5. It was charred octopus and shrimps on a bed of green beans and tasty mashed potatoes. Everyone enjoyed the pastas they ordered. My favourite was the Bosco because of the creamy tomato sauce. But the highlight for me was the veal striploin. The meat was very tender and it was very flavorful with the sundried tomato and mushroom topping. Also it was served with a generous amount of vegetables. Serving sizes was just perfect. We look forward to going back!

Food was alright, service was terrible. Wanted to go on a Saturday date night with my boyfriend. First of all, they don't take reservations which I find extremely odd - only reservations for lunch are taken.. Second of all, we waited 30 minutes for a table and when asked if we could wait outside, we were told that we had to wait in the restaurant for our name to be called or just outside the doors because if we weren't there when they called they would give our table to someone else..

Hold on a minute..
aren't we in the 21st century where technology comes into play?

Even JACK ASTORS has buzzers to notify you when a table is ready. Earl's give you a COURTESY CELL PHONE CALL! These are things that should be implemented at Grazie.

Once seated (after waiting 30 minutes and after they gave our table to someone else by mistake), we waited another HOUR for our meal to come. One dish was extremely spicy when it never indicated it would be and the other dish was a pasta with basically water for sauce. We weren't going to complain though because we were starving by that point and knew we'd have to wait another hour for another meal! Our water glasses were filled once, we had to constantly wave over the waitress for just a glass of water.

Horrible experience and probably will not go back.

I dropped in for a quick lunch and wish I had planned to stay longer and try another dish. Based on service, ambiance, music, presentation and flavour I will definitely be coming back for more. Price was more than fair and I was even served Coke my favorite way - in a glass bottle! Perfect. Hats off to Matt, Luca and Sal - service at its best!

Won't ever return here. Arrived around 9pm. Guy at the door said it would be about 5 minutes. A quick peek into the dining room and at least 5 tables unoccupied. We were a couple and the other tables were for 3 or 4. Nobody was waiting at the front or even coming into the establishment. I noticed a couple got up and the busser started to clean the table. The guy at the front said it would be a couple more minutes even though their were empty tables in the dining room. After about 10 minutes or so of waiting I said this is completely unacceptable. The guy at the front was completely rude and said 10 minutes isn't much of a wait on a Saturday night. Newsflash, when you are the only ones at the front waiting and nobody else is coming in while you have empty tables for non-existent customers, 10 minutes is an eternity. The guy at the front says, again after I point out at least 5 empty tables, those are tables for 4 people. Again these are non-existent customers he is talking about. At that point I'm fed up because having worked and managed in the restaurant industry for 16 years,no restaurant would keep numerous empty tables after 9pm especially when they don't take reservations and have nobody waiting or nobody in-sight walking in to sit at the empty tables. The guy at the front, I believe he said his name was Bruno claimed to be the owner of the restaurant. Once again, no owner would let customers wait for at least 10 minutes when they have at least 5 empty tables regardless of size. It is one thing if it was in the middle of a dinner rush or even if they only had one or two tables left but they didn't and it wasn't. Thanks to that guy at the front, The Keg got our business and even sat us at a table that seated more than 2 people. Why? Because that is what common sense is all about. Needless to say, I won't ever return here.

I went to grazie for my first time last night as my friends rave about how it's their fave Italian in Toronto. The staff were all extremely friendly. The bread they gave us was delicious with their dip (ask for it, it's free and delicious). We shared a margarita pizza (10 dollars) and each got our own pasta. I got the Penza pasta which the waiter recommended and it was DELICIOUS! I honestly think everything here would be outstanding. Go here ! It's really fair pricing as well. Our bill was 22 dollars!! Definitely my new fave Italian place :)

Great simple evening. Grazie has good food in a great atmosphere without all the big bucks needing to be pay out at the end of you're night. It's great if you just want a night out with you're girlfriends or a week night out with you're husband. If you want a big romantic showy night out this is not the place. Go downtown and shell out $200 + for dinner for two. This is just good italian food lot's of great selection for desserts and quick service. Our waiter knew a lot about what goes into our food which was nice. I'm sure I'll go back to this place.

Average. Food was average. Wife was really excited as she enjoyed the midtown location, but food did not live up to expectations.

Good God Great Food. Had diner at Grazie Restaurant in Vaughan last night, words can't describe how amazingly wonderful the food was. My complements to the chefs!
I give it Five out of Five Stars
p.s. the service was great as well

Our family love this restaurant. Their pizzas are great and their pasta is excellent. Very friendly and efficient staff always ensure we have an enjoyable meal there

Great restaurant with good food. All the pastas are delicious. I would defiantly recommend the Torino pasta with rosé sauce as well as the Cefalu with pesto and olive oil. I wasn't impressed by the pizzas however their salads are simple yet delicious.

Big Night. Cool restaurant with great Italian food that is in mid town. Good vibe just a little crazy at times but then again your in the city LOL..

First Times A Charm, Second Time Not So Sure.... I had gone to Grazie last year for a Valentine's Day meal. I was pleasantly impressed as the meal was excellent and our server was very pleasurable. I went once again a few days ago to the same location and didn't feel the way I did the first time. We actually had the same server as the first time which I was happy about. However, the food and service wasn't up to par as the first visit. After we ordered our salads, it took about 30 minutes for them to come. The couple beside us came 15 minutes after us, received their main meals after 10 minutes, and left even before we received our appetizers. I wasn't too happy about that. Then our main meals came about 30 minutes after our appetizers came. The tortellini I ordered wasn't that great, it tasted too hard. The server was great and I would go back just to have him serve us again, but the food wasn't as great as I had hoped it would be.

Waited about an hour for the worst meal in a while. Napolitana pasta was horrible, smell was nauseating. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

The host was very rude to us as soon as we walked in. They were quite busy; with a number of people ahead of us on the wait list, but there were also a number of empty tables. When I asked about the empty tables the host asked me if I thought he didn't know how to do his job. We asked if they took reservations and he said in a very arrogant tone that they have another location on Yonge Street that hasn't ever taken reservations and they're Doi g fine. We left to go to Romanos and it was delicious and they were very polite and gracious.

The atmosphere, food and bartender are all amazing! It's my fav!! I just wish the wait wasn't so long for a table.

Eternal value and flavour. Glad to see that Grazie is still going strong 20 years after I first tried it in their original smaller venue. I used to go there so much in my "Yonge and Eligible" days that they called me by my name when I arrived. Congratulations on showing them how to do it for so long Grazie. Best near fine dining experience in the city for the money.

Love it. Delicious italian cuisine. Taste just like your nonna would make from pizza to pasta's they have the best. Its great for all you pasta lovers out there. The tasca pasta was filled with delicious brie cheese, fresh ricotta and Spinach. The service was great and the mood very romantic.

High Maintenance Water Drinker. Your review made me laugh out loud.. I love the part about you complaining how you had to ask the server to keep refilling your water glass.. Oh yeah, it's not too obvious what your review was driven by.. GRATUITY!! Which was created for customers such as yourself... CHEAP!! I suggest you stick to fast food where you can serve yourself and drink bottom less pop. This way you don't have to TIP.

Extremely poor service, mediocre food. Nobody attends to our table, we had to ask for every little thing.
-We were given luke warm water, I had to ask for ice. This is ridiculous.
-We had to ask the server to refill our glasses constantly, we had to ask many times through out our dinner.
-Asking for extra dinner plates was a joke, we need 3 and they give us 2. This is just one example.

We see the waiters standing around talking, the busboys walking around not really look like they have their minds on serving. The whole atmosphere was that the servers are not their to serve.
Perhaps we had a group of 8 and they already built in the 15% tips, so they think they can just give bad service.

Portion of food was small, we had to order extra pizza for our three teenagers.

I had the Odessa, which was good. But others had the seafood/lobster special, the sauce was watery and it was not worth the money that we paid. The other pasta dishes were so-so.

We will not go back again due to the bad service and mediocre food.

The cream sauces where very plain, but the pasta was great!. The best dish on all of there menu in my opinion is the dish called "tasca". Its pretty much one gigantic ravioli with spinach, brie and goat cheese in a porchini mushroom sauce. I have been to Grazie twice and have pleasantly surprised on both occasions
David
Nothing special. Half the menu are pasta dishes. Pasta we ordered was overcooked and sause was like water. Saw people waiting 45 mins for a table and couldn't help laughing. Ignore this place if you want quality Italian.

Whenever we are looking for good bowl of pasta, we always make our way to GRAZIE. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Toronto, but I would have to say Grazie is one of the best. The food is consistently good, whether the place is packed or almost empty (which hardly ever happens). The menu provides a large assortment of pizzas and pastas; most people rave about their pasta for it is made in-house daily. The service is always friendly and attentive, and if you go as much as we do they even begin to remember your order and make you feel part of the Grazie family. AM ordered the PAESANA. A rich tomato sauce with fresh peppers and ground Italian sausage piled high on fresh Fettucini. What's nice about this dish is that they leave the sausage in large chucks so you can really taste the flavours of the meat in each bite you take. This large,

Their lunch hour is packed with people. There is a huge selection of pizzas and pasta to chose from. I got the Cefalu - Spaghetti with grilled chicken, fresh spinach & ricotta pesto pine nuts. The pasta was fresh and the ricotta pesto was really tasty, not too salty.
Smilingmango
The ambiance was alright, very classy and wooden. Services were also friendly and attentive. We started off with the Cozze Portofino - Fresh mussels steamed in a light tomato sauce. It was scrumptious! The mussels were cooked just right as I could tell that they were not too shrunk (over-cooked). The sauce was cooked as right as well. On a side note, for some reason mussels are so expensive when having it at a restaurant when they are only $1-$2 per lb at a supermarket! I can easily make this same dish with less than $5 (depending on wine). Bf had the TASCA . It is a fresh pasta filled with

The last time I visit Grazie was probably 3 or 4 years ago at the Yonge & Eglinton location. I'm quite happy they opened another location up in Vaughan so I don't need to trek down there for a good bowl of pasta. The menu has a large variety of pizzas and pastas to choose from. Perfectly cooked pasta with a rich creamy sauce and bacon, how could you go wrong?

...calamari sandwich with cherry tomatoes and homemade mayo on sour dough. It was a yummy lunch!

Plenty of different pastas and pizzas to choose from which can be a bit overwhelming. Good thing is you're bound to find something you like at Grazie.

After going to Wonderland, I tried out Grazie, a pretty authentic Italian restaurant chain. We had some bread to start with, and even though it was cold (so the butter couldn't melt) it was still pretty good. PENZA : Rigatoni with vodka pancetta (cured ba

I haven't been to Grazie in maybe, 5-7 years? I'm, of course, talking about the original Grazie location at Yonge & Eglinton. I remember that location was always so packed and crowded. I also remember I needed to yell just so that the person sitting across from me could hear me. I guess I haven't been back because I hardly hang out in that neighbourhood anymore (I used to work close by) and it's also not the easiest to find street parking there (I know there's a Green P beside it but still). Basically, visiting Grazie again was never a priority for me especially now that I work in downtown.

I was happy when I found out Grazie opened another location at Vaughan Mills awhile back. I was overwhelmed by their huge menu. So many choices:

Zenato Ripassa - Full bodied dry with rich & velvety fruit flavour

Several people had wine while I had my extra spicy Caesar. A basket full of bread for our 10 hungry stomachs. As usual, I can only comment on what I had and show you pictures of what other people had.

APPETIZER

Bruschetta Pizza - Olive oil, fresh garlic, mozzarella, parmigiano cheese, fresh tomato, garlic & fine herbs. We all shared this appetizer. I've never bruschetta pizza before but I thought this tasted just okay; I would've liked a bit more herbs and cheese. I also prefer the traditional bruschetta on open slices of grilled bread because the toppings-to-bread ratio is better this toppings-to-pizza ratio (i.e. too much pizza for the amount of toppings).

Baked Goat Cheese Salad - Goat cheese, roasted peppers & grilled eggplant wrapped in phyllo pastry served with an arugula salad in a sherry vinaigrette.

MAIN

Roberto - Tomato sauce, mozzarella, prosciuttino, grilled eggplant, artichoke hearts & black olives

Prato - Penne with grilled chicken & green onions

Cristoforo - Goat cheese, plum tomatoes, red onions, black olives, basil and a touch of mozzarella

My pizza jumped out at me on the menu because it had goat cheese. All fresh toppings and I really liked the soft and sweet plum tomatoes. There wasn't too much or too little of any one ingredient so it was very well balanced. It had a thin crust which I found to be a bit hard but this is just my personal preference as I like pizzas that have a softer base.

Napoletana - Linguini with shrimps and clams

Cozzo Portofino - Fresh mussels steamed in a light tomato sauce or white wine sauce

Gnocchi - Gnocchi in a tomato cream sauce topped with parmigiano

Eligio - Tomato sauce, mozzarella, asiago cheese, prosciuttino, red onions & a variety of mushrooms

Tasca - Fresh pasta filled with ricotta, spinach, mushrooms & brie baked in a creamy tomato porcini sauce

Nonna Franca - Spaghetti with sautéed broccoli, anchovy paste, pine nuts & raisins covered with toasted bread crumbs & sesame seeds

DESSERT

Flourless Chocolate Torte - Simply made with chocolate, eggs, butter & sugar garnished with raspberry coulis. I had a bite of this. The torte had a rough texture and was pretty dry. I expected the cake to be more dense and rich.

Tiramisu - Our house specialty. Mascarpone cheese with fresh cream layers between lady fingers dipped in coffee and liqueurs.

I never order tiramisu as it is not my kind of dessert (I don't like cream) that's why this was just okay to me (I had one spoonful). I'm thinking my friends who like tiramisu would be able to give a better insight on this than me. I've never seen tiramisu served like scoops of ice cream though.

I'm happy to know that Grazie Vaughan is a place worth going back to. Although a bit overwhelming, I do love how they have a lot of variety in terms of the different kinds of pastas (broken down by type of sauce) and pizzas. They also have mains and specials such as steak, seafood, etc.
