Freshslice Pizza

Coles Notes: Free is free. The pizza was alright, the premium one was tasty, the other one tasted old and crappy.

Happy Birthday to me! A few days ago it was my birthday and while at work a co-worker told me to hit up Fresh Slice for a free pizza slice, I never knew this so while on break I decided to walk over to Fresh slice to see if it was true. Upon walking in I told the lady It was my birthday today and was told there is free pizza on my birthday. She replied, yes. She punched something and on the screen it showed Birthday meal - 2 slices pizza + pop.

Great I thought, time to pick my pizza. Just as I was about to, a guy came out presumably a manager or owner and said you need to be subscribed to Fresh Slice Fan Club, so I pulled out my phone and I googled it. Nowhere on anywhere could you actually sign up to be a fan, the page link says  "Oops! That page can’t be found. It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?

I could see If they would refuse the free pizza and pop because I'm not a fan, but in all honesty, this would be a scam if they refuse and you couldn't actually sign up. I lucked out because I gave the guy my phone and he couldn't find how to sigh up either. He just honoured it and gave it to me anyways.

You could only pick the basic pizza, the premium ones cost $.50 more. I didn't like the choices so I opted to pick the premium ones and pay. Strange though when I got my money out to try and pay the computer didn't have a price or anything and he said thank you and happy birthday again. I took my two slices and left, Didn't need a pop because I was headed over to Starbucks for my free birthday gift!

When I got home I googled some more to try and find out where I can sign up, all I can find is they were testing it starting August 2, 2014 and the fan page still has an error.
