Very Friendly & Good Value. The lady at the shop is very friendly and welcoming. Since it was my first time there, she took her time to introduce me to many of the pastries, buns, cakes etc. They have a good selection and several unique items for a Chinese bakery shop (e.g. danish cheese bun). Even better is that it is fresh and generally cheaper than other bakeries and T&T. It reminded me of old Chinese bakeries (before things started getting expensive in Vancouver) that used to have larger, cheaper yet delicious buns. The lady even gave me a discount.
I went back a 2nd and 3rd time and received just as much friendliness. This time what I liked most is their Low-sugar Baked Taro Glutinous Cake ('Nian Gao), which is part of their special Lunar New Year items (cheap $3.50). It's the only place that I've seen selling a low-sugar taro version. Other places sell the regular Baked red bean flavour cake usually at a higher price (~$4.00) that I also like.
The only thing is there are lots of other items I haven't tried so I can't give much feedback on other foods. I would definitely go back more often to try them out!!! Wish we had more of these around!!
