Came here for a quick lunch on a weekday. It was raining and the place was empty. There are not too many tables, though. You have a choice of noodles, vegetables (or all) and toppings (meats or a tofu). Overall, the noodle was simple, fresh and the broth was plain but quite reasonable.

Tinny restaurant off 4th, mainly vegetarian - you can pick from 4 different kinds of noodles and a variety of vegetables. The broth itself is vegetarian for you full vegetarians out there. Staff is nice - all round good restaurant

As I get older my body finds new ways to tell me to stop having fun. The first thing that tends to hit most people is the hangovers get worse and sometimes even last for days. Sure, the fact that I have a go big or go home mentality probably doesn’t help, but that’s just how I roll. The latest indicator of my aging body is all the different body aches and injuries I’ve had. I had a partial rupture in my achilles tendon a few years ago, and most recently I’ve been battling a wrist injury which has had me sidelined for over 3 months now. Weight lifting has become a big part of my life and is great stress relief. Not only that but it’s what allows me to maintain the lifestyle where I get to eat and drink what I want without becoming Jabba the Hutt. Well, after a couple months of sulking and taking out my frustrations on Little Bunny I finally decided to head to physio and try and get some work done on my wrist. I go to a place on 4th ave and so as I was walking home I walked by Healthy Noodle House which I’ve always seen and wondered how healthy it really was. I’ve started to giggle like the Pillsbury dough boy when poked, so I decided a healthy meal for lunch was probably a good idea.

Went there for dinner on a suggestion from a friend who knows how much I like noodle soup.
Loved that the name of the restaurant tells you exactly what's on the menu - healthy noodle soup, that's it. You can customize it, by filling out a tiny form and checking off the vegetables and the meat you want, and you'll get a bowl of the steaming noodle soup, freshly prepared, with very fresh ingredients.
That said, all of the soups on the menu taste the same, because they're made with the same stock - I would have liked for some variation in terms of the flavors. My friend had ordered the chicken dumpling soup, and I'd ordered the BBQ pork, but they both tasted exactly the same.

Service is friendly, and Colin, the owner (and also apparently the only person working there) told me how he's been running this shop for 12 years! I liked that they have this home-style kitchen set-up, nothing too fancy :)
In the end, we also bought a pack of their frozen wontons to take home and experiment with!

Pro Tip: I don't know if it's a recent/temporary change, but when we visited the place, they would only accept cash.

Healthy, Affordable, and Delicious Noodle Soup. Not sure when this place opened, but concept is the same as all the "make-your-own-noodle" restaurants that have been popping up all over Richmond lately, right down to the ordering method where you check off the the ingredients you'd like in your noodle soup on a menu form. This is perfect for health-conscious diners. The meal is cooked right in front of you (open kitchen) on a house stove. No MSG, no unnecessary oils, simple, homemade, and hearty. Storefront and decor is not impressive, but the food is affordable, filling, and healthy. I came here on a Saturday night and I was the only customer at the time. I hope they're busier on the reg, because this place deserves a lot more attention!

Noodles to warm your heart. Do yourself a favor and skip the lineups at Naam. While I like Naam, this little noodle house also deserves a tasting. Behind the counter awaits a jolly ol' Chinese man who is as passionate about his healthy home cooked noodles as he is serving it to you.

A wide selection of noodles are available, including a wide assortment of veggies and sauce you get to mix and match; all of which are prepared fresh and daily, to suit exactly your taste. If you want some meat, they have various accompaniments of home prepared won tons; none of the mass commercial stuff you buy at supermarkets.

In taste, presentation and style, there is no doubt about it that it is quite simple. Yet it is also elegant and beautiful in a zen-like way...just exactly what the heart and soul needs on a rainy Vancouver day. I'll definitely be back at this little gem of a place.

This place is amazing. The couple running the Healthy Noodle House are some of the friendliest and sweetest people I've encountered. The noodle bowls are delicious and hearty and definitely worth a weekly visit. If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and try it!

Average and salty. I read the reviews and was expecting a really amazing bowl of noodles. I am not kidding when I say I could have made the exact same thing at home - because I have (with no oil or MSG either). However the broth I got was too salty; I think they used too much soy sauce. There was literally drops of soy sauce on top of my chicken dumplings when it was brought over. I think all that's going for this place is that it's a healthier alternative for noodle soup and it's cheap. It pales in comparison to a good bowl of pho though pricewise and tastewise.
