Great food and it was ready really quickly. Seating is limited but you'll be in and out in a flash. It's a great choice for locals on one of those nights when you just want some Chinese take out at home, since ambiance isn't the main attraction. Very happy with the quality of the food. Will be returning for sure.
Yopo is a tiny little Chinese cafe in Yaletown on Homer Street. It's perfect for lunch if you're in the area and wanna tuck into some Chinese. It's quite popular for quick lunches - both sitting in (very limited tables) as well as take out - so you might wanna go a little early if you're planning to visit.
I've usually stuck to the variety of noodle soups they have that come with various options of meats, or dumplings. The dumplings option was my favorite. Extremely flavorful broth, and pretty tasty dumplings as well. The pork dishes are pretty darn tasty as well, especially the fried pork chop with pepper.
One of the ladies behind the counter is a little grumpy, so make sure you've got your order ready by the time you reach the till to place your order :)

Super Clean. The food at Yopo is super clean, it's not cooked with hard oil, and the deep frying is very light. Ingredients are fresh and they take substitutions and special requests. I think a lot of people think Chinese Food as real traditional, real Canadian or real "Mall Food". Yopo doesn't fit into any of these- it's a 400sqft restaurant space (including kitchen), prime for takeout. There's usually a wait, and no kidding, cuz the food is great! They walk for delivery, so if you order during high volume dinner service times then you're guarenteed a wait. This is why you must be in Yaletown for delivery. They made their successfull review in the Vancouver Newspaper, so check it out. I can't do MSG or too much oil- and Yopo has none of them. It's a sort of self serve, with cutlery and water, and the rest they get for you. I've been a reliable takeout and dine-in customer there for 2yrs now and it's been good-great every time. So if you want simple, clean, tasty Chinese Food, then dine here.
