I’ve been able to try a decent amount of Vietnamese restaurants recently. Love how they all specialize in a specific dish. My Chau’s claim to fame is their pho ga. Cash only as per usual. I dropped in for lunch both visits. It was reasonably busy and didn’t even realize they have more tables than when you first walk in. Staff is friendly and the food comes out quickly. They drop off a pot of jasmine tea when you sit down.
Maybe it's unfiar to post a review based on one dish, but since it seems to be their signature, I'll just write down a quick thought. The Deep Fried Chicken with Rice Noodle in Soup is what people come here for, and is basically a bowl of noodles in a chicken broth with a side of a deep fried chicken leg. The chicken leg has no batter or breading, but is crispy and tasty nonetheless. However, the soup seems to be a bit on the light side. I prefer the deep flavor of beef pho, so I kind of missed that. Good news is that you can also order the chicken leg seperately, so next time I'll likely order beef pho and add on a chicken leg to get the best of both worlds.
*Note - The prices have gone up since the menu was posted on Zomato.

I heard about this lesser known Vietnamese place from an online article about hole in the wall places. It put a lot of spotlight on their fried chicken leg and pho combo. The chicken leg is not battered before frying, but its still crunchy and then sliced. I had this with a nice hot bowl of delicious chicken broth pho. Its a weird combination, but the chicken was delicious. I would definitely come back and try the chicken on vermicelli or rice.
