The Point Grill is located near Marine Drive residence in The University of British Columbia, Vancouver campus.
Ambience : Patio be the best place for dinner on clear sky days . Servers are welcoming and cleanliness is their first priority.
Food : Being a vegetarian , the only option in burgers was ‘The Buffalo Chickpea Burger’. To cut the long story short , veggie burger with chickpea base patty served with fries/salad n a jalapeno😬 . Burger is huge and very filling priced at 13.85$ after tax . It’s good ! I loved it ..have tried it several times ! Go for it ..
It was OK.... I have not eaten in a university diner since I graduated in 1992... and that was just cafeteria food back then.
I asked for the pork bites in a home made honey garlic sauce but they were sold out. I asked if the wings could be done in the sauce since I am not a fan of hot spice and they were quick to statisfy my request. I also asked for the farmer's greens (need to be healthy).
The honey garlic was fantastic... although the wings were bar wings.. small but good... but not worth $10. The salad was big and had lots of food in it. Not worth $9 but on has to remember, it is a more upscale university diner. Should have asked for the dressing, which was very good, on the side as the salad got soggy by the time I finished it.
The beer was cold and the server was quick to tell me what was on special.
It was a bit loud but it is easy to see this restaurant was cut into a university fab building and designed for easy and quick change so sound proofing/management was not a priority.
If I find my self at UBC again when on business, I will return.
Service was great... food met my need byt
