Can't resist good food in Vancouver. Too many friends to meet, too much food to eat. Too bad I only have 1 stomach. Again, why don't we have this in Hong Kong? Why doens't Hong Kong have more variety in food?. Everything looking fresh and pretty. Lots of colors and I feel somewhat less guilty for chomping down these non deep fried dishes~ Really like how I can build my own bowl. It's like subway, building my own sandwich, but in Japanese style.
As I’m never a big fan of the make-it-yourself poke bars, I rather prefer the Ahi Tuna Poke Bowl here at Shishinori. The poke bowl is carefully designed and gourmet approved! The $2.50 meal upgrade option is also awesome here – an iced green tea and a mango pudding sounds much healthier than the $3.50 fries and pop at A&W.
Shishinori is a tiny restaurant on Cambie Street which serves some healthy Japanese food. It is two blocks north of Broadway-City Hall of SkyTrain's Canada Line.
It is an adorable place to go if you want to eat Japanese food without sticking to sushi or ramen.
We tried Unagi Kabayaki 鰻魚浦燒, it was such a fantastic and healthy meal. We would definitely go back to try their other poke dishes.
😍😋

I’ve been eating pretty unhealthy as of late, so I try to rectify that by eating more vegetables at lunch and cutting out alcohol. I was in the Cambie area last week and I decided to revisit Shishinori. It’s been ages since I’ve been and it’s just as quaint as I remember. You need to order first at the counter and then the server will bring your order out to you.
Very nice and cozy place near Cambie station. The lunch bowls look healthy with good portion size. You are satisfied but not overloaded 🤓
The price was good too. Just $2.5 extra if you add tea and dessert to make your bowl a combo.
If you haven’t tried the delivery service Foodora yet but have always wanted to, this is the time to try! Foodora has recently expanded their delivery area from just Downtown Vancouver to include Mount Pleasant, Commercial Drive, and Kitsilano. To celebrate this expansion, they are offering free delivery until April 30th.
This tiny location seats about 5 tables and is filled with little DIY decor details that just make you go "awww" the whole time. They still have Christmas decorations up right now and that's not even a negative point. Everything is just so cute!
We got the beautifully plated Hawaii Ahi Poke Bowl and Spicy Chicken Chashu Bowl. All their mains come with half a plate of salad which gives the illusion that this was a guilt free meal.
Welcome to my blog where I share my opinions on being an adult and post my reviews of stuff I buy and things I eat. Feb 14 BIRRY EATS: Quick Look at SHISHINORI. Location: Shishinori - 2328 Cambie St, Vancouver, BC. Meal: Hawaiian Poke with Shoyu Sauce and Chicken Chasiu Bowl + meal combo
I loved how colourful our dishes were when they were presented to us quite quickly. The size was alright; not too little or too much and it filled us up well. Though there were a lot of toppings and fresh vegetables, the sauces on the rice and salad dressing were a little too over powerful. The chicken chashu bowl was little less overpowering than the ahi poke.
This is a FANTASTIC place for LUNCH. You send your order at the front then the server brings you the food. Service is excellent, and the pricing is very reasonable. The food is fresh and delicious, and very healthy. I would definitely come back again to try other items on the menu. I had a great experience. I don't usually order dessert for lunch, I couldn't resist. I'm glad I did lol!
