I highly recommend the ebi sunomono, dark sweet, caterpillar and the tuna aburi stack. I really enjoy eating here and I hope other people give it a try too.
Friendly and prompt service. Delicious and very reasonably priced food. I also like the location near the sky train and just in yaletown in general.

Ki-Isu is a Korean-owned Japanese restaurant in Yaletown known for their decent sushi at an affordable price. Given its location, it’s hard to come across restaurants that are budget friendly. Of course Vancouver is known for their abundance of Japanese restaurants with over 600 and counting...
Met up with P for dinner after a crazy hectic week. Due to some miscommunication on my part we ended up at Ki-Isu Sushi in Yaletown. I’ve been here once before and it wasn’t bad, plus the place was quite busy for a Thursday evening!. The only downside is that they have no descriptions for their specialty rolls so we had no idea what was in them.
Best sushi in vancouver. Great quality, unique flavours, customer service could be better to make this place a home run however no complaints as the food makes up for it ten fold.
A nice little sushi restaurant in Yaletown. Sheepie and I arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday, and there was only one table with a customer there, but as soon as we sat down, there were more that came – mostly take outs. It was a nice last-days-of-summer weather, so we sat on their patio. The customers that were already there had 2 dogs, so anyone wishing to stop by while walking their dogs, this would be a perfect stop!
I can happily say I found another Japanese restaurant to try out with my boyfriend! This place is called Ki-Isu Japanese Restaurant which is located in Yaletown. Based on my observations, I do believe this is an authentic Japanese establishment. We went on a Friday evening and even though we did not have to wait for a table, this place filled up fast soon after we ordered.
First off, we ordered a Tuna and Salmon Sashimi ($8.95) which tasted quite fresh, but the pieces were cut into thinner and smaller slices compared to other Japanese restaurants.
Work nearby - very convenient. I've eaten at Ki-Isu many times for lunch & it has always been good with very pleasant service. I ate dinner there the other night & while the food was good & the service was stellar, we noticed 3 of the sushi chefs leave the restaurant by the front door WITH THEIR APRONS ON & they went for a smoke break. Looks like they walked around the block & then came back in through the kitchen. 1) They should *not* be leaving the restaurant with their aprons on as this is a health hazard & 2) I sincerely hope they all washed their hands...It made me wonder whether I would want to eat there again unfortunately.
Reasonably priced, decent service, well managed with take out and dine in. Good variety and fresh food.
We had the tuna tataki salad which was amazing ! The Alaska roll had cream cheese in it and the salmon was on the outside opposed to the inside usually ! The dynamite roll rice was on the inside and not the outside ( Made no taste difference! ) the dynamite & Cali roll were great! Service was great too! I've been here a couple times and the quality of the food is consistently good !
