I love this place. All my favorite Dim Sums can be found!
The food is excellent, freshly made.
The "chicken" on a stick is just AMAZING. I have taken many non veggie friends and they all were in awe!
The owner was very accommodating, one item on the menu was all gone and he made a batch for me.
I go very often and take home some take-outs and they freeze very well.
The best vegan Asian food I have ever had. The service is warm and the food is amazing. Go!
I can't imagine not visiting 3G at least once a week for my dim sum fix! Don't miss the eggplant dish as it is super fantastic (like everything else)!
Always so delicious, and the owners are so nice! I'm a bit embarassed at how often I get takeout from there, lol.
If you are a Vegan ...this is heaven !!!!!! ...if you are a Non Vegan this could be your heaven !!!!! ...me and my family's most favourite restaurant !!! ..and such great customer service !! Wonderful experience !!!!
Absolutely love it! Our celebration go to place.
Best Chinese food we have ever had so far! So flavourful and my boyfriend who does eat meat was really happy with everything. He thought the drumsticks were real and almost tried to stop me from eating them! Will be back often.
Food was delicious! Lots of Vegan options! Service friendly. Can't wait to go back....really soon.
Fantastic food next time I'm in Vancouver I will be going again

Best dim sum I've ever had. Went with a mixed group of vegans and meat eaters, and everyone was blown away at the quality of the food.
i LOVE 3G. My boyfriend and I turned vegan almost 2 years ago and thought we'd have to give up our love for chinese food. I am so glad 3G is around, everything is amazing, especially the drum sticks! I still can't get over how real the sweet and sour pork tastes
If you're vegetarian and miss having meat, or you're carnivore that is eating with a vegetarian friend, this place is pretty tasty. Many of the items are deep-fried in some fashion, but tastes great.... Almost cannot believe that it's not meat. Just don't eat it too often, the dishes are heavily seasoned and spices, so it takes your taste buds for a ride.
As a non-vegetarian, I think this restaurant is a good option for those non-meat-eaters to dine together with their meat-loving friends.
Although the service was quite slow (they only had one person working as a waitress :( ), I really liked the food. I think this place does a great job with making common Chinese dishes completely vegetarian. For instance the siu mai and ha gao were quite enjoyable; of course, not like the real thing, but pretty similar in taste. In terms of pricing, I would say it's pretty standard; not that expensive, but not too cheap either. I'd definitely come here again to try more items.
We came here at noon on a Sunday to try vegetarian dim sum. The place was half full. There was only one staff so it took some time before she came around to take our order. The food came fairly quickly. The fried noodles are comparable to regular dim sum equivalent. The sticky rice tasted different, using tofu instead of chicken, but good. The siew mei too soggy and soft. The dumpling is comparable.
The taro, pumpkin, coconut milk stew is delightful! Would have been even nicer with brown rice but it had run out.
I liked it. We ordered the drumsticks (which had an interesting texture), spring rolls, meat puffs, Indian style noodles (basically spicy chow mein), and the chicken cutlet with orange sauce. Food was tasty and I felt satisfied afterwards. The owner and his wife were really courteous and friendly. I still would prefer Bo Kong (whole vegetarian restaurant) but I would come back here again if I was in the area. Worth trying if you are a vegetarian.
Dim Sum and "chicken" wings. This place really hits the spot. I haven't had a bad meal here and they really know how to create interesting yet comforting food!
Nothing bad to say about this place.
Veggie Dim Sum is Tasty. 3G is a nice, clean and friendly asian style vegetarian restaurant. we are regulars for sunday afternoon dim sum at 3G. i would recommend this place to all vegetarians or anyone seeking veggie dim sum. the congee is really good...
I LOVE 3G. It is vegetarian paradise! We go almost every weekend, if possible! Our favourite dishes are the spring rolls, beans with olive oil, panfried gyoza, eggplant and tofu with bbq sauce. We are attempting to try more dishes on the dim sum menu next time! YAY LOVE 3G
Tasty but nutritionally unsatisfying. (Those yummy wheat balls in sugary sauce burn through pretty quick but never leave your thighs...) Next time I'll try the soba & vegetables and a soup.
The chicken drumsticks are amazing. Service is great and they have a great dim sum menu on the weekends. Even if your not vegetarian I think you will enjoy this restaurant.
Good food. Service, food are good. The vegetarian dimsum tastes like real meat dimsum. Servings size is good. I would recommend to go with a crowd so its possible to enjoy the different varieties of dimsum without stuffing yourself =)
WOOOOOH!. This place is EXTREMELY good, and the people are very nice. YOU HAVE TO GET THE CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS. Absolutely EVERYTHING on the menu is vegan, even though it is a vegetarian restaurant. The menu doesn't specify, but the cheese is vegan. I haven't tried much from this place because I'm not a millionaire, so I usually just get hot and sour soup, chicken drumsticks, and some other dish with noodles and I share that with my boyfriend. The fake meats are.... scary real. GREAT place!
Best in Vancouver. Lovers of Chinese food will really enjoy this restaurant. It's a mecca for vegetarians and vegans, but regular carnivores won't notice they're missing anything eating here. Everything is very fresh and tasty (and healthy) and the staff is very friendly.
Tasty, Friendly!. Good fresh food. Lots of "fake meat" choices.Lots of choice for gluten intolerant- which is amazing because most substitutes are loaded with gluten- Super friendly and gracious staff. Meal good each of the 4 times I have eaten there.
Fake Meat Utopia. 3G is owned by the same people who own Veggie Favour, the fake meat shop just down the street. The wide variety of fake meats was reflected on the menu. The food was very tasty and each dish was artistically plated.
My only complaint is the menu is much too extensive. It's hard to narrow down a choice.
I hope they do well. I'll definitely go back to try their dim sum.
A vegetarian restaurant seldom attracts our attention or appetite. However, it looks like 3G has a very high reputation. The furnishings of 3G is very simple and cosy. The taste is not amazingly good but we like it even though we are meat-lovers. Definitely worth going back.
3-G is a great little Chinese vegan place that opened up last year on Cambie Street @ 18th Ave. Unfortunately, they don't have Ginger B (I still haven't been able find it in Vancouver), but they do have a really interesting menu with the requisite dishes and some unexpected ones. Kirk wasn't feeling particularly adventurous (Crispy Baked Baby Pig, anyone?), so we stayed with the familiar: Hot & Sour Soup, Deep Fried Tofu with Salt & Pepper, Abalone Mushroom with Vegetables, and Fried Rice with Special Chili Sauce (although I'm pretty sure that's not the rice dish they gave us). The service was great, really attentive, and they kept our tea pot full at all times. The hot & sour soup was fantastic - light, full of tofu & veggies and just spicy enough. It wasn't the best salt & pepper tofu in town, but definitely enjoyable. We ordered Fried Rice with Special Chili Sauce, but this is what we got. We should have asked about
We have been wanting to go back to 3G for dim sum for a long time but the thing with dim sum is that you need to go with more than two people, the more people the better, so you can order more varieties of dishes. We ordered about 14 items and we had 5 pe
Fried Vegetables and Pork Piece in Shanghai Style (回鍋肉片)...it's basically veggie-style Twice-Cooked Pork...and it's perhaps the best that we have ever had here in 604!!! Though it was a bit sweeter than normal, but it's still good.
Post contains video clip.
Overall, I would say I was quite impressed with 3G Vegetarian Restaurant’s ability to provide a wide array of dim sum for those who do not want to eat any meat.
