This Japanese restaurant is running by Koreans. It is above average. The customer service is well. It is worth to come and eat sushi here if you don't want to wait for seats at Kitshimoto on the same street.
We ordered chopped scallop roll, ikura sushi, special combo A, teriyaki beef yakisoba, aburi Saba Oshi sushi, and spicy salmon sashimi. The presentation of each dish is very creative and beautiful. A couple dishes have lost some scores though. The teriyaki beef yakisoba was too salty and the pressed rice of the aburi Saba Oshi sushi collapsed once we used chopsticks to take one from the dish to our own.
There is street parking but usually they are full, so we always park further away and walk to the restaurant.
This is my favourite sushi joint downtown. Magma roll is my number one :)
I was talking to a friend recently and they brought up the fact that although they enjoy reading my blog, they were disappointed that I very rarely visit sushi places. Now I realize there’s probably more sushi restaurants in Vancouver than anything else, but between the fact that other bloggers have some pretty good coverage on sushi joints and that I’m not a big seafood fan, I’ve been content eating everything else. There was of course Miku, but that was an exception since it seemed to be the talk of the town and my friends convinced me to go, but I don’t regret it . Today was another exception, though for different reasons. The Italian messaged me near the end of the work day asking if I wanted to stop by his place to try a new board game he just purchased (Eclipse). He’d been raving about this game all week and I didn’t want to let him down, but I had more important things to worry about. I was hungry. This being The Italian, he was already anticipating this and had a place in mind near his home in order to save time. I guess a little sushi won’t kill me. (famous last words) We arrived around 5:30PM on a Tuesday and it was surprisingly busy. It seemed to be a hot spot for a lot of the younger ESL students since this isn’t the first by I’d seen it like this. There aren’t many tables to begin with, maybe a half dozen or so. It was a fairly small establishment with a small outdoor patio area, but I assume most of their business is through take out. The server handed us a couple of MASSIVE hard cover menus. Seriously, these were some of the largest menus I’ve ever seen, standing nearly 2 feet tall and a foot wide. There were pages and pages filled with dozens of different kinds of sushi rolls, though a lot of them were very similar in ingredients with only slight variations or sauces. The other thing that was exceptional was the prices. Most rolls were priced between $4 to
Just visiting Vancouver and decided to have sushi for lunch. Amazing food! Absolutely delicious :)
I had the salmon and avocado roll as well as the spicy crunchy roll. Excellent and very fresh! I highly recommend Sushi Ville!
I miss sushi ville.... Back in Australia after a month long holiday in Vancouver. Out of everywhere we visited, sushi ville was our favourite place to go for dinner. The quality, quantity and the price is what sold us. Everything was so delicious and the sashimi tasted very fresh. I am craving sushi ville so badly right now. If only I weren't so far away! Nothing beats their giant spicy dynamite roll!
Those people who say this place is bad must be a retard.
I had Stanley Park Roll and spice selmon sashimi.
Both of them taste AWESOME.
The service is good, they come and fill my tea whenever they saw my cup is empty.
My favourite sushi place. My girlfriend and I keep coming back for more. Friendly service, great portion sizes, affordable, and of course, delicious. The special menu items are well done and are not simply variations of a California roll. Tempura is crispy and not overly greasy. I always feel good about choosing to eat here because I know it will be consistently tasty and my wallet won't be taken advantage of.
This is a great little place the deep fried rolls are amazing " crunchy roll" very inexpensive good service they really care about their food quality, there is always a line up here. You gotta eat here.
I jus wanted to write a review after seeing the weird review up there. So I was eatin at the same time when they were eatin, I'm the one eatin the giant roll which was awesome. So what I saw wasthey ordered the sahsimi and it was frozen so they didn't wanna eat it so tjey said they didn't wanna pay for tat. First they refused it with manner but after they jus said okay~ they also had a roll comin but they said they didn't want it even it was made and said they didn't wanna pay for it. So the waitress said nicely tat she was srry but they hav to pay for the roll but not the frozen sashimi. And they started makin insults about the whole thing and told the waitress to call the police. So she did. Tats actually wat happened. I was also new to tis place but I think it was the best. At least to me.And then they said tat they were gonna insult the resyaurant and make no one come here and call ppl they know and tell them tats tis place sucks
. HHere's when I felf srry. The waitress seemed sooo young she was jus probably helpin her parents or somthin... and tats wat happened. I'm not trin to be on any side but jus to make sure..~~

So we sat down and we decided to share one roll. I was wondering if we should order another roll just in case we were still hungry, but Adrian suggested we order one roll and see how we felt afterwards. This was a good call.
