This place is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. I especially love their Pho and spring rolls. It is extremely delicious, tasty and full of amazing flavour. Their staff is super friendly too.
Le Petit Saigon will always be one my all-time favourite Vietnamese restaurants in Vancouver. Taste, authenticity, and QUALITY is all there. Been coming here for years, staff is great with amazing service. Nothing’s changed. I love my pho chewy, and they’ve never over cooked my pho EVER! Go try this place out, you’ll thank me later.
Le Petit Saigon was quite busy on a Friday night. We also noticed quite a number of take out orders. We ordered two items to share. The first item was Grilled Beef and BBQ Minced Pork over Vermicelli. We enjoy this Asian style salad. We also shared a bowl of Beef and Hue Ham with Special Spicy Noodle Soup.
I love this place. Been there twice in one week. Each time time I had the Pho with rare beef, tripe and tendon. The soup base is really good and has well rounded flavours, thus I didn’t need to add additional sauces to perk up the flavour. Furthermore I had their regular salad roll and the Saigon salad roll. The Saigon salad roll is awesome - it has a mini spring roll inside the salad roll!
I will definitely return!
Ordered takeout house special pho, and it was very delicious with big portions of assorted meat and great soup and noodles. Would highly recommend for takeout, maybe ask for spoon as that wasn't provided!
Came here after celebrating NW’s birthday at Playland since it’s close by. Although a hole in the wall, the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Service was great as well — our water was constantly refilled and staff were very friendly. I ordered a large Special Beef Noodle Soup Pho ($9.50) and NW got a large Grilled Chicken Noodle Soup Pho ($9.25). It came out piping hot, which was great. We both loved what we got. The noodles were cooked well and the servings were reasonable.
My girlfriend and I were at pne. We wanted a clean healthy meal so we explored the Hastings area up the street and found this place.
The service is very quick and friendly. The place is very clean as well. Lots of space inside.
The broth was done very nicely when my girlfriend ordered her pho. I ordered the bun thit and holy that was absolutely delicious. It was so refreshing in this summer heat. I loved my experience, and if I was ever in the area again I would come back. The prices were very reasonable too.
Btw, if your Chinese they assume you want your bean sprouts boiled or steamed. Ask for it raw if you want it raw.
I am half Vietnamese with a mother and sisters who love to cook broths and are constantly trying to outdo ourselves and I am SO impressed with the Pho broth at Le Petit Saigon. It is so flavourful and full of spices! I really love that they don't just dump msg in their broth and pass it as pho like many places do. I seriously crave their Pho all the time and my mouth will actually water when we drive by this place. If you want to experience a great tasting broth and have a love of asian spices then try it out.
My partner showed me this Vietnamese eatery over a year ago and I now only crave Le Petit Saigon when craving pho! The portions are huge but even better are the spring rolls-- not too greasy, super crispy and delicious. Worth the trip out every time.
I was here today. The salad rolls are made with care. I've had them in other places where they seem to be slopped together. Every bite had a perfect ratio of leafy greens, rice noodles and shrimp.
The pho was fantastic! This place is right up there for some of the best pho in western canada that I've tried.
Probably the best vietnamese fried spring rolls in town! So delicious and so much flavour. We had the lemon grass chicken vermicelli bowl and loved that there are a lot of veggie. Only downside personally is wish they grilled the chicken more that the skin was crispy.
Chicken wings that rival Phenom Penh's.
So I wasn't expecting much from Le Petit Saigon. The reviews are mixed and the decor looks dated. But I was pleasantly surprised. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing spectacular here to write home about. There is just simple Vietnamese food done pretty well. There are also a few not so typical dishes to excite anyone who has gone to Vietnam and know what they are.
I shared the shredded pork fresh rice paper rolls, fried spring rolls, chicken wings, pho, and noodles with grilled pork.
Everything was as it should be. I felt completely satisfied. The rice paper rolls were fresh and the shredded pork nice and chewy. The spring rolls were crispy and flavourful. Everything you would expect from these typical starters.
The noodles were cooked well and the sauce had just enough vinegar, suger, and fish sauce. I needed to add a bit of chili for some heat. The picked vegetables, fried onions, and peanuts rounded out the dish nicely. Overall a well balanced dish that was full of textures and flavours. Thing of a Vietnamese noodle version of bibimbap.
Lastly the chicken wings were the star of the show. They had crispy skin and juicy tender meat. The fried garlic and pepper made my mouth water. The dipping sauce had a lemon base but packed a punch. For those of you who love Phenom Penh's chicken wing, you need the try these. They are different but comparable in flavour and deliciousness.
I liked it a lot = 3.5
One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in lower mainland/fraser valley.
Food is very good. Portions are quite large.
Probably the best spring rolls I had in a Vietnamese restaurant.
Was okay. We went with a group of friends.. each ordered different dishes: spicy soup, rice noodle and seafood with special sauce, 2 rice plates with grill chicken/ pork chop and rice vermicelli with duck and bamboo shoots. All was good except the duck... it tasted like it's been cooked and put in the fridge for 1 weeks, then no one ordered it, then they put them in the freezer.. and when we ordered it, they microwaved it. So if you want to try it, you should ask if it's fresh.
I've eaten at a crap load of Pho places in Vancouver, this one is for sure in my Top 3. This place has the best vermicelli I've had. It almost has a gummy like texture for extra flavor and enjoyment. The staff here were also really friendly and you could tell it was family owned and cared about. Lastly, they gave me a sample pockey pack on my way out. How amazing is that!
I have seldom been disappointed by the food here in the past eight years. Once in a long while I get a meal here that isn't up to par but those moments are rare and have not deterred me from coming back.
NIce eats near the PNE.. Hard to find parking given the strict parking restrictions in the area due to the PNE being closeby and there was street paving going on.
Had the House Special Pho and 2 Spring Rolls, both were very well presented and tasted just as good. No complaints here.
Excellent. Definitely one of the best pho ive had in a while. wonderful beef broth that is complex and is not generic! the spring roll was very nice as well! definitely will be coming back!
Reasonably priced food. The spring rolls are fantastic! Pho portions a bit small for the price but the pho broth is very tasty. The place takes credit cards which is a plus!!
Excellent Service. The Staff in this restaurant ,including the kitchen, are very efficient in getting food to your table quickly. No sitting for 1/2 hour waiting for something to nibble on??
The quality of the food is exceptional in the small but well run Family Business.
Very well done~~~always a pleasure to Dine here~~
Solid and consistent.. This is a regular haunt for me for Pho. The broth has a great flavour without excessive MSG, and of all the places I find their noodles are some of the best. The texture and consistency is great.
The Bun is also good, and their Beef 3 ways is super tasty. The Cha Gio (spring roll) is a little heavy for me, but overall this place knocks it out of the park.
Good soup.. I come in here every so often with friends. Around the early evening it's not bad, and you get seated right away. Extra points of having parking in the back.
The broth is flavourful, and the rice vermicelli dishes are pretty good. They add in more vegetables than other places, and some friends found that a bit off-putting from their norm. Still, it's worth going to because it really does set a standard of Vietnamese in the area.

Excuse my language, but this place is the PHOking best!. As a self named Vancouver Pho expert as I have experienced many Vietnamese restaurants all over this city. Although I enjoy a number of them, LPS is hands down my favorite. Their soup broth is what makes this place stand out for sure as it is uniquely flavorful and soothing when ingested. The service is way above average - one time when their debit machine was down they told us not to worry and to just pay next time. If you take your leftover soup to go just ask them to top it off when some extra broth - they have no problem accommodating ! Must try the Saigon Roll (combination of a classic crispy spring roll and salad roll). I deeply appreciate LPS for their consistent delivery of delicious food. If you are a PHO lover like me you must try... and maybe give me a call to join when you are on your way :)
PS. You are lucky if Jennifer is your server :)
Sets the standards for Vietnamese food.
Get here Early!. Their subs are amazing, and a very good price. My fav is the House Special with loads of meat! And something about their white sauce is so delicious! IThere is always a line outside though, so make sure to get there early or be prepared to wait!
Delicious food at little price. We took a seafood egg noodle soup and a chicken and pork rice. Both dishes were very good and the portions were generous. We left the place the stomach happy and filled. The food is not high gastronomy, but it is surprisingly good for less than 9 bucks! The service was good and rapid. They even bring you tea before the meal and nice little cookies with your bill. Also, the place is very clean.
Service was good and staff was friendly. The food was good. Try #66 or #68 for the chicken rice. The food had good flavour and marinated well. Price is comparable to other Vietnamese restaurants.
Overall experience: Thumb's up
Yummy Pho. I work around East Hastings-Sunrise area and I like Le Petit Saigon. The owner is nice. The food is good as well. I usually get their pho and the soup/broth is so delicious and flavorful. I like it better than Bao Chau. But I think they put a lot of MSG in their food because every time I eat there, I always am so thirsty!
Love this place been over a dozen times - best spring rolls - the pho broth is amazing - tried many places, this is hands down the best I have ever had - and to that fool that doesn't understand that french is a big part of vietnam and isn't added to the name for class- idk read some history dumbass
Best broth in the city. Had an amazing Pho Ga, the broth was spectacular, it was fragrant and bold and you really could taste the star anise, its by far the best pho broth I have had next to Jasmine Gardens in SF.
Solid Vietnamese in Hastings/Sunrise. Only enjoyed their pho but flavor was spot-on. Would definitely return
Mmmmm. This is possibly my favourite pho place. The broth is really tasty, as are the ingredients. I also sometimes get the Hu Tieu grilled chicken noodle soup, and the grilled chicken is so good. Also enjoy the bun, and their spring rolls are excellent!
Great meal decent prIces. Nice meal before football game.
Yummy pho. My first vist tonight, and I really enjoyed it. Firstly for a pho place, it was very clean and cute restaurant, in no way trendy or modern, but clean and nice. The service was friendly and fast. My rare beef pho was delicious, noodles cooked perfectly and the broth was amazing. I loved my hot fresh spring roll as well my husband loved his salad roll, giant shrimp, fresh tasting and good peanut sauce. I think I will make this a weekly thing.
Excellent Pho. Finally gave it a shot today, had spring roll, shrimp salad roll, and #19 rare steak, beef brisket, tripe and noodle soup. Spring roll was a little small, and that's the only complaint I had. Excellent roll flavours, good sauces. The pho was sublime - very tasty not over-flavoured or over-salted broth, both M. and I agreed this was the best pho broth we have had in town, generous servings of meat, good fresh everything. Very good and friendly service, and cheap as borsht - well, the Vietnamese version of it. Will be back soon!
Best Pho in Vancouver!. Le Petit Saigon has the best pho in Vancouver by far. It has the most meat, the most herbs, and the best broth!
The service is amazing! Go more than twice and they will remember you!
So many choices!. If it isn't enough that the Pho is one of the best in the city (the beef broth simmers for over 10 hours to develop it's heavenly depth of flavour), Le Petit Saigon has so many other choices to tantilize the taste buds. In example the Beef Three Ways has Bo La Lot (Betel Nut Leaf Wrapped Beef), a juicy, beefy cigar roll of ground beef and spices stuffed inside an aromatic betel nut leaf. It along with two other beef preperations is a taste revelation.
For over two years I've been exploring the menu along with the delightful guidance of the truly foodie friendly folks that run this gem of a family style restaurant. Zero pretense, lots of great info if you care to ask questions, and a complete dedication to quality make this a place that I'm happy to stop in for 20 minutes for a quick Pho while rushing around doing errands or... to linger over an eleborate celebratory meal with the whole clan, including my 82 year old Mother Bear who swears by the grilled lemon grass chicken on rice. So fragrant!
Paws up from this Hungry Bear.
Addicted to Pho. I stop by for lunch 2 or more times a week. Great Pho - my favourite beef balls just the right rubbery chewy texture. They will serve the grilled lemon grass chicken thighs on the side (rather than in the soup) so that you don't lose the texture. Ask for the chilli oil. For some reason it's kept in the back and they only bring it out on request. Quick, friendly service, generous servings combined with typically low Pho prices make this my go-to-Pho choice.
Spring Rolls Please.... This place serves some really good Vietnamese spring rolls!!
This Soup Rocks. Love this place...my friend and I have been searching for good Pho ever since Pho Tang Long shut down. Good price, nice staff - and kick butt soup! Highly recommended!
Delicious!!. This restaurant has been under new ownership for the past few months and has become a true gem for great Vietnamese food. Service is excellent, quality is high, and surroundings are pleasant and very clean. Try the springrolls or Pho and you won't be disappointed. A great find for a great meal.
There are few things that beat Vietnamese pho on a rainy day. Ramen is pretty high up there, but pho is much more readily available in Greater Vancouver. Le Petit Saigon, regarded on Urbanspoon as one of the best pho places around, is a great choice if you’re looking to chow down on fine Vietnamese food with its happy atmosphere and diverse customers. Food: Pho is the main attraction, but you can also find other vermicelli and rice dishes on the menu and the usual Vietnamese specialty drinks (think of avocado shakes and 3 bean pudding drinks). For myself, I enjoy a bowl of pho accompanied by spring rolls as my go-to meal especially on a rainy day. The noodles are chewy. The spring rolls are crispy. The meat, oh the meat, is tender, doesn’t come too raw in the bowl, and absorbs the broth very well. Everything Vietnamese you need can be found here. This is not one of those 24 hour restaurants where the pho just sits in a giant container getting mushy all day. Features: It’s a fairly larg
One of the best spring rolls I have ever taste. Freshly cooked and crunchy. The meat was very tender and flavorful. Service was very fast too perfect for people whose tummy is shouting for food. Price wise- very reasonable. Located at Hastings Street.

Being indecisive about where to have a late lunch, my friend and I settled for something quick, Vietnamese. Le Petit Saigon is located along Hastings street in Vancouver, and is one of the cleaner Vietnamese restaurants. There are no sticky tables and the chopsticks are individually covered in sleeves (although I still wipe them down with tea lol…). Furthermore, the restaurant is not cramped or too small, and the seating arrangements are spacious. GOI CUON, HAM AND SHRIMP SALAD ROLL ($2.75). A salad roll is a healthier alternative to spring rolls, and Le Petit's consists of lettuce, vermicelli, Vietnamese ham, pickled daikon as well as carrot, and prawns. The salad roll tastes fresh and the accompanying peanut sauce is fairly flavourful. The sauce has a nice thick consistency, does not taste too sweet and is topped with crushed peanut. CHA GIO, SPRING ROLL ($2.50). The spring roll was given to us by accident, but I would order this next time. The roll looks crispy and the filling look

Overall the dish was very good. The thit nuong skewers were tender and had a perfect balance of fat to meat, the chao thom was soft and full of flavour and the nem nuong was delicious. The salad roll, on the other hand was boring. The sauce was just hoisin sauce with peanuts in it. They could have added some shredded carrots, sesame oil and some honey to make it better. The fish sauce dressing was good.
This is one of the pho restaurants that my family frequents quite often. I think it's because the place is fairly clean, service is quick and efficient, and the soup is so darn tasty! Also, I'd like to say thanks to everyone at the table for being good sports and letting me take pics of their food before they ate! So, thank you! Thank you! Again I don't have a picture of the restaurant, but I will take one when I revisit during the day. I tried taking one, but it was way too dark and nothing turned out Maybe a photography course should be next on my list! lol Yeah yeah…. laugh it up Marv :p Here's 1 of 2 plates of bean sprouts. There were 5 of us at the table, plenty of bean sprouts to go around! Steph decided to go with a Shrimp Salad Roll without Bean Sprouts. Why without bean sprouts? Well, she doesn't like to eat raw bea
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about Bảo Châu , a Vietnamese restaurant and self-described " Spring Roll Specialty House " on East Hastings. It quickly became my "go-to" place on Saturday afternoons before going to work. Recently, in the interest of a h
The Dot Com Pho crew make their way over to East Hastings for some great Vietnamese food at Le Petit Saigon. This is easily one of the best pho restaurants in the neighborhood and it happens to be on the same block as Bao Chau. The three flavor beef here is particularly good, as are the minced pork patties. Watch the video clip in the post for more.
Let me put this one out right away: the fact that my last post prior to my trip to Florida happens to be Vietnamese and the first post afterwards is also Vietnamese, not to mention they are located a block or so away
