Kaisereck Deli

A must-try when in Van. Craving one of those Polish with some grainy mustard.

When we go to Granville Island, we usually wind up at one of the many restaurants that they have and avoid eating at the food court. Not because they don’t have good food there but because it’s so busy and there’s limited seating. Well, while trying out Chau Veggiexpress, we decided to pick up the Perogy Plate with Bratwurst ($11) at Kaisereck Deli. The plate comes with a mix of mini perogies (cheddar and potato, chicken, and pork fillings) and you can top them off with the condiments of your choice.

Hey guys! Granville Island is a pretty popular tourist destination for both its foods and its culture. Prior to watching an Arts Club show, I took a gander at Kaisereck Deli . Are the sausages here worth stopping by or should you keep looking around in the food court? Read on to find out. Food: I ordered a Bavarian Sausage plate with a bun and this comes with a side of perogies. I don’t know why I ordered a bun because this comes on a plate and I didn’t intend on holding my sausage in my hands. Save the dollar on the bun if you’re not in a rush . The perogies were potato based and a little smaller than what you’d find in grocers but they weren’t as hot as I would like them. They were just warm, and I understand maybe at the end of the day they don’t taste as good. The Bavarian sausage had a nice spicy zing to it and gave a satisfying crunch when I bit into it. I think an important factor of sausage is flavour juice, not fat juice. This sausage delivered on the flavour juice, and was better than I thought for a fast food stall. I don’t recommend coming here near closing though as my previous visit during lunch hours was much better.  Bavarian Sausage Needless to say, my previous visit for lunch (and a double-smoked sausage), was much better. For a real gourmet sausage experience, Bestie is an even better experience. Double-Smoked Sausage Features:  This stall is located in the main Granville Island Public Market, so i f you’re coming on a weekend, it will be busy . I recommend sharing a table with someone else or going table hunting before you make your order. Condiments for your sausage can be found on the side and range from different mustards to some really funky sauces that you will feel compelled to try for fun. Perogies Service: Service was super quick here as one should expect for fast food. Our server had great conversation behind the counter and paying was a cinch with all types of cards accepted her. Let me give u one word of advice!! If you hav'nt tried this deli , do yourself a favor and go down to granville island and head to the foodcourt area inside the market and try this great deli !! wonderful fresh sandwiches and the best hot dogs and sausages in vancouver!!

Mmmm .. .Schnitzel. I ate one of the best schnitzel sandwiches i've ever had from Kaisereck deli (and that's saying a lot if you had any idea how many schnitzel's I've eaten in my life)
