The first thing I noticed was the smell of smoke. .. that delicious charcoal cooked meat on a bbq smell. We tried the wings with a variety hot sauces, some tender as all get out brisket and some collared greens. Sooo yummy for a quick bite for lunch. The wait staff were great and very friendly. Would defintely go back again. Gastown rocks

We shared a platter with a pulled pork sandwich, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and two pieces of fried chicken. Everything was amazing, it was closer to four pieces of chicken, plenty of food for two. Fried chicken crust was ridiculously tasty. Staff was friendly and the environment was comfy and relaxed.

Best meal I had during my stay in Vancouver. The brisket was amazing, as was the pulled pork. The drinks were great too...what really set the place apart was the service. We were constantly given attention, but not overly so to the point of being intrusive or hounded. Also, Connor was full of great advice on other places to check out, both to us & other visitors.

Always love this place, never had a bad experience with their food. Being a smaller location sometimes you have to wait but it's worth it.

Working in Vancouver for almost 3 years. I am from Central Texas and cook or eat BBQ regularly when home. Peckinpah really does "...put some south in your mouth". As you might expect, Brisket is my go to protein and I am pretty picky about it. Peckinpah's Brisket could stand up beside some of ours in the state of Texas. The brisket as a black sticky bark, with minimal spices that let the gentle smoke flavor shine through. The meat itself is quite tender, with nicely rendered marbling that keeps the brisket unusually juicy. That kind of attention to detail comes from this Pitmasters' obvious dedication to the art of low & slow BBQ. Oh yeah, if pork spare ribs are your thing, PECKINPAH'S GOT'EM! Plump, meaty and well rubbed ribs. These are smokey and well seasoned, but not sloppy with sauce. They are addictive and ribs this good can be found no where else in Vancouver. If ya'll are looking for legitimate southern BBQ or always wondered what it was like, head down to Peckinpah right now ! You won't regret it.

Peckinpah has the authentic Southern BBQ. Last night, I rolled in with 13 rowdy friends mere minutes before last call. These guys totally hooked us up with a seriously tasty smorgasbord of BBQ and other delicious treats. Service was super efficient and spot on. I know there are a lot of options, but I highly encourage anyone looking for good food in Vancouver to go. A+

3rd NOMNOMNOMNOM of my week eating downtown Vancouver? Chef James's wicked brisket, ribs, cornbread poppers, and fantastic sauces are to die for. If you can get a seat at Peckinpah, I highly recommend the bourbon...pairs well with a meat coma!

Great food and views - family friendly! Ribs - Loved the ribs. If you like your ribs falling off the bone, you might not like these. I think ribs that fall off the bone are great for sandwiches, but I personally prefer my ribs with a little chew to them, like they make them here. The meat is still very tender just not falling apart. Ribs like this also usually have more flavour and texture variety b/c they probably didn't wrap them so it lets the smoke get in there more. Brisket - We requested the point (fattier) and it did not disappoint (pun intended). Love to have a little of the Carolina sauce (yellow) to dip it in. Delicious Pulled Pork - Pulled pork was decent. Not as good as the ribs or the brisket but tasty. We were also there later in the day and there is a chance we were hitting the bottom of the barrel with the pulled pork. Still 5 stars for flavour. Potato Salad - delicious and lots of flavour. Lot's of dill! Service - we came when it wasn't very busy but the service was good and the waiter was friendly.

The beef brisket was one of the best I've had. So tender. The house barbecue sauce was tangy with just the right heat. Cornbread was super too.
