very good! and really love it ♥️🇨🇦
Food was very fresh. You can tell the seafood was caught fresh in Vancouver. However, the wait for seating was troublesome and it did take about 10 minutes for seating. Other than that food was worth the wait.
Although it took us a while to get a seat at this restaurant, Dynasty Restaurant is a must try for their dim sum. We ordered the black truffle dumpling (cool to try out, mainly filled with mainly mushroom), scallop and snow pea tip dumpling (wrapped in a black skin with a nice seafood flavor), baked pork pie (very delicious with a pepper sauce, wild rice lotus leaf (extremely flavorful than most places), and eggplant with shrimp (good, eggplant was not oily with a lot of shrimp). Prices here are around $7 - $9 per dish. I would definitely recommend this place to try out. Also, try to be there early or have a reservation in advance as they can get extremely busy.
[3.5/5]The trio of colourful treats was a dim sum triumph. If you can only get 3 dim sum dishes here, you must get all these 3: the Beet Dumplings, the Scallop Dumplings, and the Sweet Purple Yam Dumplings. However, for the elevated dim sum dishes, there’s a price to pay – those dishes were $9 – $10 each and among the most expensive dim sum places in the city. The Hong Kong style Spicy Garlic Crab came out as an extravagant dish to impress visually. However, I found the taste a little underwhelming and in need of salt. It was a 90-dollar crab ($38/lb) and of course, and I'm allowed to be a little picky about it, aren't I?

Dynasty Seafood Restaurant has won many awards over the years. I have no idea why I have not visited it until now! Located on Broadway and Willow, there is actually free parking below the restaurant. It looks like there is pay parking, but if you tell the hostess which stall you parked at, then you will not get towed or ticketed.
Dynasty seafood restaurant is located on West Broadway Street downtown, which is one of the busiest streets in Vancouver. There are lots of restaurants on this street. My American friend really wants to eat Dim Sum downtown, so we did research online. We found Dynasty Seafood Restaurant has the best review, so we decided to go. The location is very convenience and easy for people to find. We arrived the restaurant before 11 am. The restaurant was not full. Luckily, we got a table and began our order. The restaurant has very fancy design and the menu is very simple and easy to understand. There are not too many morning dim sum selections on the menu, mostly are lunch and dinner. The price of food is a little bit expensive. We had couple dishes, like BBQ Pork Bakery, Shrimp Dumplings, Beef tendon, and etc. The taste of the food was OK, decent. They were not too excited.

Pictured from top left clockwise: deep fried taro with duck meat, scallop dumplings, BBQ pork pastry with lemon glaze, and chicken feet and clams soup. If you’re looking for Sunday brunch Chinese-style, dim sum is your answer. This would be considered one of the top places for chinese food and dimsum in Vancouver. I found everything we ordered very well made, refined and not greasy. The quality is noticeable compared to more cheaper dim sum restaurants, where the buns can be dry or not fluffy, pastries and deep fried items are greasy, and dumplings can have very thick doughy skins.
Turned out "Steamed Bun with Egg Yolk" wasn't quite as interesting as I imagined. It's a smallish steamed bun, each about half the size of a tennis ball. The "egg yolk" part looked like oily melted cheddar and tasted like ...
We went here for lunch at 10am and the place is almost fully packed not long after. The food is actually pretty good here! I especially liked the steamed beef tendon and bbq pork pie with lemon. Some dim sums are slightly bigger dishes than the ones you find in other restaurants. Service was not bad either as they are pretty attentive. I would come back again!
Above average food, but very pricey. Came for a dimsum lunch on the first day of Chinese New Year; I usually expect the quality of the food to decrease during busy times, but it actually increased! The wait was excruciatingly long, even with a reservation, due to being a holiday, but the experience after being seated was good. Servers came frequently to take away dirty dishes and refill teapots Being a 'high end' dimsum restaurant, each dimsum is around $4 to 5. Portions are very small as well. However, that being said, all the dishes tasted good.
I highly recommend the Baked BBQ Pork Pastries with Lemon; the unique combination of tangy lemon to BBQ pork worked beautifully together! Their Steamed Shrimp Dumplings (Ha Gao) is one of the tastiest I've had in a long time. The shrimp inside has not been mixed with who-knows-what (such as MSG) and mashed into a mushy paste. The firm texture and thin skin make it a well-executed dumpling. The Pork Feet and Fat Choy, a specialty dimsum for CNY, was a favourite at the table. The sauce was what made the dish so good. The Pan Fried Rice Rolls were very good as well; not too soft, a little crisp from being pan fried, not too salty, and came with real tahini! A large casserole of congee came with our set meal (which includes many basic dimsum, making it easy on dinners that just want to order quickly but still get variety). It was DELICIOUS! The texture of the congee was thick and velvety, and the julienned ginger and chicken gave it just the right amount of flavour. The Pan Fried Yam Mochi with Egg Custard Filling ended the meal on a sweet note. We would've preferred less sesame seeds on the outside since it overpowered the yam flavour, but the egg custard was salted and brought the whole dessert together. Be sure to enjoy warm when the custard filling is flowy like lava!
In conclusion... Dynasty is probably best reserved for special occasions.
PROS - good food, unique dishes, free parking (remember your stall number and let the staff know so they can provide you with a ticket for free parking), decent service, comfortable seating, brightly lit by natural lighting
CONS - expensive, loud, not many tables (for a Chinese restaurant)
Dynasty Seafood Restaurant
Went there to eat dimsum with Ojha, $10.50 for 1hr 30mins parking, we left right away. Didn't try Dynasty Seafood Restaurant cuz of the expensive parking.
Great food. This place is awesome. Lunch is always packed every time I came. Food were very tasty, especially the Peking duck two eats. Manager came constantly to check our table and make sure all the food were all right. Service and food I would give it a four and half star. I would come back agin for sure and recommended to all my friends and family.
Great Dim Sum + Services but FAILs in bigger dishes. The dim sum dishes and service were absolutely fantastic! But the kitchen may not be efficient when orders get built up. What I did NOT like was the amount of seafood in my $20 seafood noodle that came in a clay pot. The shrimps and scollops were diced in tinny tinny pieces. There was a lack of seafood theme in my "seafood noodle," and it tasted like noodles in soy and seafood sauces. Otherwise, everything was great and I did enjoy my visit.
Solid dim sum; free parking. I don't know why people are paying for their parking; complaining about the price...because it's free. The sign at the parking ticket station clearly states that you need to tell the hostess your stall number...so you don't have to pay. We went on a Sunday. It was pretty busy but we had a reservation for mother's day. The dim sum was good. Not one of the dishes we ordered was disappointing. Highlights were the Baked sago and black sesame pudding, the Har Gow, the Buddha's Feast (excellent wok fire). The siu mai was loved by the kiddies and I enjoyed the deep fried Taro with bbq duck.
Overpriced. Food was okay, but way too expensive. I liked the lemon BBQ pork pastry, but with Dim Sum being almost 5 dollars a plate, it wasn't worth it. The only good thing was dining at Dynasty gave 2 hours free parking, because parking underground was 3.50/half hour!!
The great thing about having dim sum on a Monday is that you don't have to wait for a table, and you can eat at a leisurely pace. The dim sum menu has the more popular dishes but is not as extensive as other restaurants. Our food came quickly and was good. The service was professional and courteous enough, but is it asking too much to see more smiles?
Fantastic. Just about the best Cantonese restaurant in town at the moment. Innovative dishes, beautiful presentation, plus attentive service make this place a winner. Just make sure you reserve your table before you go as this place gets super busy.
The food is ok.... Good services...
It’s awarded with “The Best Dim Sum of 2012 in Vancouver”. No wonder, even the previous chief executive of Hong Kong, Sir Donald Tsang Yam-kuen, also dined there on 9th July,2012. They have parking space underground.....So glad to try out another nice dim sum restaurant in Vancouver.
Many choices of dim sum.
Hungry, on Broadway, and this sign appears. Are you serving Dim Sum? Yes, they say. The place is rich, pristine and we are the only non-Chinese on site. It must be good. The baked minced pork pie was a novelty - it had a real pie crust and was stuffed with what tasted like a pork stew. Obviously crafted by hand on site, this was a worthwhile dim sum novelty to try. The dumplings also appeared freshly prepared on site. This steamed black truffle dumpling is a must for truffle lovers. Light, flavourful, fancy. The watercress with shrimp dumpling was not as novel, but yet very well done. The gai lan comes in three options - steamed, garlic or fried. The steamed was plain enough, but the quality of the vegetable was very good that it tasted amazing just steamed. Just for fun, a non-dim sum item was ordered - the appetizer bean curd sheets with mushrooms wrap. It took us by surprise; it was served cold. A worthwhile discovery. Dynasty Seafood Restaurant 108-777 Broadway West Vancouver, BC
The presentation of their dishes blow me away each time. They always come up with a way to surprise me. Their thought and talent keeps bringing us back for more. Our family loves this restaurant and established a close relationship with the staff, -their service is great and the chef always comes out to ask if everything is okay. I highly highly recommend this restaurant.
Dynasty serves authentic Chinese food with a twist using ingredients or food combination that is not traditionally done. The décor is classic and elegant and the atmosphere is more up scale when compared to other Chinese restaurants like Sun Sui Wai and Kirin.
Thin delicate skins and plump flavourful shrimp make for a classic har gow.
We were stuffed and happy with the meal. Dynasty provides a good, clean, tasty meal with a more upscale Chinese dining environment and experience.
The service was a hit and miss with some servers seemed quite useless while a few others were on the ball.
