This was a long-awaited visit and it was great. They had a good covid-friendly set up in place with markers on the ground (although I can't say everyone was walking in the right direction). I appreciated that the staff wore masks. The enchiladas and shrimp tacos were large healthy portions. I would definitely return here.
Really nice and relaxed outdoor patio to enjoy in the summer months. We went for the afternoon happy hour and enjoyed the margarita slushees! Food was tasty. I’d recommend the chimichanga. The Mexican poutine was disappointing - very small and just fries with some mince on top. Service was friendly and attentive.
I’ve been to Las Margaritas several times and it’s one of my city favourites. The servers and the entire staff for that matter are great and very jolly! The food is amazing, I’m a fan of the Fajitas, and enchilada de Sonora. When I’m out for drinks, I find the jalapeño poppers and nachos a great pick. Also, the portion is size is huge and justifies the price. The drinks are all great, but I prefer the food a lil more! The only small issue that I discovered was the nachos got really soggy.

The quesadilla is gorgeous, chicken with vegetables & served with really tasty black beans & side salad. The tasting platter is delicious- stuffed jalapeños pepper, chicken wing, cheese quesadilla & a spring roll like dish filled with blenderized beans mixed with melted cheese.
To finish the night off, dessert trio. The churros are the main show but the flan & tres deleche cake are able to stand on their own & scream flavour explosions.
My recommendation- save some room for the dessert trio! It’s worth the extra calorie intake!!!
Always a fun atmosphere! Love the range of drinks & margaritas. Food is yummy, love their guacamole! Wish they would clean the spiderwebs off the patio. Very dirty.
One of the few mexican restaurants in this area of Vancouver. It can get pretty crowded so I would recommend making a reservation if possible. The food is always yummy and the service is ok
Highly recommend Las Margs! We went for a girlfriends birthday the other night (group of 10!) and they were so accommodating, the food was amazing and the service was top notch.
I grew up in the area and this restaurant has always been a staple both in my family and my friend group. We always gravitate to this place for our family dinners, birthday celebrations and for lunch + margaritas on the patio during the summer months. We've always received excellent service and love the menu - there's something for everyone and the portion sizes are very generous. The chips and salsa they serve you upon being seated are the best and the atmosphere is always positive and inviting. This place is a key part of what makes Kitsilano so great.
I've lived in Kitsilano for 5 years and I have always been a big fan of this restaurant. The service is always quick and friendly and their food options are great for vegetarian and gluten free as well.
Highly recommend Las Margs! Food, atmosphere, service - all amazing! Great spot for birthday parties or friends night out. My go to is the chicken enchiladas and the raspberry margaritas!

Went with two other friends on a rainy afternoon. Gave us a basket of salsa and chips right away which was reeeally good and completely different from those you buy from stores. Ordered a frozen magarrito. Also shared three Mexican street tacos. They were soft tacos which tasted good. Jalopeno poppers were amazing. Filled with a jalopeno and cream cheese breades with a layer of crisp outside. House Nachos were pretty common but were great with Guak.
Even from the outside, the purple window frames and the signage felt like you were going to Mexico. Not that I’ve been to Mexico yet, so can’t really comment on the authenticity… if it’s not authentic, then it felt like Disneyland where you entered a different world. The same feeling, or even greater continued inside with the decor and vibe.
I just can't resist Mexican food. i'm sure it's not the most authentic Mexican restaurant. it's probably westernized Mexican food but the food tastes pretty good. all kinds of virgin margaritas are served and that's awesome.
I love las margaritas. It is my absolute favorite place to eat in Vancouver. I have never had a bad experience here. The food is amazing, and they do a very good job of keeping experienced servers around. I have been eating here for almost ten years, and go out of my way to stop by and have nice meal. I recommend the vegetarian fajita burrito, nachos rancheros, or even just a margarita!

Really nice patio. Service can be a bit slow at times. I'm not a Mexican food expert but have enjoyed what I ordered there. We had a guacamole to share and I had the qeusadilla. Had to order a couple of margaritas of course and they were yummy.
This place has always been good. Haven't been in some time... so good .. new summer menu....If you want Mexican.. then this is the place to go !

I absolutely love Mexican food and while I've been here a ton of times, with so many amazing Mexican places popping up, I felt like LM needed to step it up! Though I was surprised to find in had a great experience.
We didn't have to wait long to get a table at 6pm on a friday night, which was great. There menu hasn't changed in forever, so I usually ordered the soft tacos, but was so happy to find they have their new summer menu up! I ordered the Baja fish tacos, my friend ordered the prawn tacos. My two other friends also ordered a half order of the nachos.
While the fish tacos were decent, everything else was pretty good. I ordered a sangria as opposed to my usual margarita- and it was something to rave about! So. Good. The service was decent, our waitress was very kind but we did have to wait a fair bit for our food and to pay our bill. She also didn't mention the new menu, and we just stumbled upon it in another menu. When asked, she did explain. I did wish she would have told us straight away as I would have been happy to hear some changes! I
Decent Mexican. Have eaten here several times. Good selection of Salsas, and Hot Sauces.

Love the atmosphere.Almost like a holiday,margaritas help that experience as well.Our waitress was very helpful and friendly another plus for a pleasant experience.Party of 4 all enjoyed our meals. THE BEST! VIVA GOODNESS!. I am not from Vancouver, however when ever I am there, I make SURE to go to LM*. I have been here several times and have never been let down! Today was no different either! Just amazing!
We arrived late afternoon, family table of 3. Our server greeted & seated us promptly. One thing you will notice about this place is the amazing authentic decor, feels like you are taken back in time to a older Mexican saloon/eatery. I was so happy to come back here after a few years from being away only to see it still the same and AS good as before.
The food: I had a chicken enchilada while my wife had a vegetarian quesidila with caesar salad. My son had a chicken quesidila. We were served complimentary chips and salsa prior to our food arriving, which is common but the salsa here is nice, mild so my son ate lots too!
Our food arrived promptly and was simply amazing, everything was fresh, portions are good size, my enchiladas were drizzles in cheese and topped with home made gucomole. We ordered virgin drinks which also were so fresh and tasty! I had a VERY pleasant experience here and wish to be back ASAP! I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking good healthy food at very good prices! I am wanting to move to Kits just so I can be close to this place! It is that damn good! :) :) :)
It's more of a habit then a necessity. I go to Las margaritas quite often with the significant other! We eat there maybe once every 1-2 weeks.We love the raspberry lime margarita and get a pitcher or two and sit out on the deck when its nice.
I have always ordered the same thing the enchiladas sans blas. That dish is amazing, the sauce is flavorful and the fish and crab are just soo good! I love it.
We also get the tortilla soup. This is one of my favorite soups in the world.
Recently I've been trying other menu items. I tried one of the platters that comes with Chile Relleno, Chicken enchilada and a Soft Beef Taco.
I was not impressed. It was all together flavorless dry and bland.
I've sampled a few of my boyfriends dishes too and found them bland and unappealing.
I will go again because of my above mentioned loved dishes. But I now realize that las margaritas is kind of a one trick pony
Went on saturday before fireworks at 6, started getting busy. Patio full and waited 20mins for a table for 2. Very loud and cramp, food was alright, classic marg tasty. Will have to try it again, seemed more texmex to me.

For me it was the first time having Mexican food. Ordered the chimichanga with refried beans. Probably a thousand calories, but delicious! The margaritas were pretty strong, but at ~$30 a jug, watch out.

Bustling spot lets the good times roll. Las Margs is an old favourite of mine dating back to UBC days -and earlier- and it's still going strong in its 33rd year. (Remember the old statistic: the average *successful* restaurant lasts 7 years.) I don't go there as often as I used to, but that's a shame. Times and habits change. The place is still packed all the time, and I especially enjoy the side deck on Maple Street. Must be one of the best non-view patios in the city. Was in again recently (inside - it was November) and had our usual good time. The margarita flavours are fresh and tasty (I recommend blending 2 flavours to mix it up and try something new), and the chips and salsa are the best in the city (maybe the entire west coast). We had our usual assortments of enchiladas, burritos, salads and combo platters with rice and beans - all solid. It's not inexpensive Cal-Mex, but it won't break the bank. The value is decent. The interior design hasn't changed much over the years: colourful south of the border memorabilia and kitsch adorn the walls, and overall the ambience is warm and relaxing with good energy. Keep it going, Las Margs; hope to visit you again soon.

MEXI-CAN. The most talked about Mexican eatery in town.. Not sure how good the food was since I was tanked with SOL's and shots of tequila by the time I got it... But I can tell you that their nachos were off the hook!
Margaritas a yes!. Well what can I say? It is another resurant that people seem to like that is not anything special at all.I can say the portions are very large but the food is not amazing. But I will give them credit for possibly the best margarita in the city.
Smelled good. Visiting Vancouver and wandered around Kitsilano. Time for dinner and just walking around, the wonderful smell drew us to this restaurant. We enjoyed the food Delicious nachos and the taco de carnitas I had was very good.
Tortilla soup was a great starter, and the Enchilada de Sonora closed the deal. Stuffed everytime I eat here.
Delicious, Great Patio. The food is always amazing, service efficient and friendly, and their patio is incredible when paired with sunshine and delicious margaritas!! The salsa is some of the best I've ever had, and you can purchase it to take home. I've never had a bad experience here and have been back probably 4 times in the past few months. You may have to wait to be seated but there is a bar to wait at and the drinks are yummy. Highly recommend.
The food was great but the service was lacking. Long waits, asked for hot sauce and didn't get it until I was almost done.
Johnny Depp would like it. I tried their Puerco Pibil, a spicy pork dish, and it was really good. The side dishes it came with were great.

You get what you pay for!. We ordered a half order of Nachos Ranchero, super cheesy and a great portion to start for the two of us. Tequila caesars were fun and delicious, be sure to look for a delightful spicy surprise. We shared an Enchilada Verde. It was a great portion, covered in melted cheese, with lots of shredded chicken.
Have loved this restaurant for over 30 years - through different owners and managers the food has always remained the same - great quality and value. Given the odd exception due to it's popularity and how a busy night can impact service, staff has always been attentive and friendly. Have had true "Mexican" food throughout North, Central and South America and Las Margaritas can hold it's own with the best of them. In short food is good, atmosphere is a blast and selection of tequila is excellent. Never a disappointment.
