My husband and I dined at St Lawrence last night for the first time. We were very impressed and will definitely go back! The food was fabulous, as was the service. We had the lucky "misfortune" of reserving too late to get a table so had to "settle" for eating at the bar; what a wonderful fate! We got to watch the chef/owner as well as all of the kitchen staff up close and personal as they prepared food in a beautifully choreographed ballet. Highly recommend this place.
I had the most beautiful experience at St. Lawrence! The food in itself was amazing; however, the service aspect of it was really what made the evening for me. We had the terrine of the day, pomme paillason, duck and tarte au sucre. All of it was so so amazing. I was dining at Chambar for brunch when our lovely server (Tommy) let us know he was working that evening at St. Lawrence - my experience at Chambar was amazing and since I was wanting to check St. Lawrence out anyway, it was the perfect opportunity to go. We were welcomed to St. Lawrence and the room was just stunning. Our server for the evening (Kareem) was a delight to talk to and he took great care of us at the bar. Tommy came by and had conversation with my friend and I and really made us feel welcomed and appreciated in that space. As we were leaving, a member of their team even called a cab for us. All in all, the hospitality and food made for a beautiful evening, I couldn't recommend it enough.
Such a special place. The attention to detail is incredible, and the thought and care put into every dish is why every plate comes out looking and (most importantly) tasting amazing. I always order whatever my server recommends, and it's never disappointed. A bar stocked with only French spirits (with the exception of some rare Japanese whiskies as an homage to the origins of the neighbourhood) makes for inventive twists on some classic drinks. If you like to see the action, highly recommend sitting at the bar where you have a great view of the kitchen and of course the bar.
First time here, and it was amazing. I really loved the decor, reminded me of a Parisian restaurant in that sense. The food, as you will see in the photos were phenomenal. The drinks are their takes on classic mixes but delicious nonetheless. Highly recommended and will definitely come back
Fantastic meal and service! My first time at St. Lawrence and it definitely lived up to my expectations. Great atmosphere and ambience, relaxed service (in a great way) and all the dishes were fantastic. We had the pork rinds to nibble on whilst we had our first drinks, then starters of bison tartar, cod quenelle and the trout. Mains were bouillabaisse, rabbit and pork chop. To finish rice pudding and lemon tart. Everything tasted great. It was a very very good evening. Look forward to dining there again.
This is one of our favourite restaurants in Vancouver. Their classic French dishes are refined and elevated while still very approachable. Everything we’ve tried was seasoned to perfection and so so delicious. They have a nice selection of cocktails and wines as well, and the servers are knowledgeable when asked for recommendations. The restaurant has an intimate yet casual atmosphere—a perfect spot for date nights. We recommend getting seats at the chef’s counter if you can, where you get a glimpse of how the chefs perfect your plates. Tonight we had the same exceptional experience and left the restaurant happy and fully satisfied. Cannot wait to visit again!
Absolutely wonderful experience. Such a well thought out menu and beverage options to compliment that menu. Sat at the bar and chatted with the bartender throughout the evening. She was awesome. Everything was awesome but special nod to the escargot. If you can get a seat....book it!
Fantastic food with impeccable service. Wide variety of drinks and a large collection of French wines. It's a small intimate space, reminiscent of classic European restaurants with conversations filling the air. Don't expect a stuffy quiet environment.
This place is flawless. There is a reason this is the best restaurant in the city! You walk in the doors to a cosy small venue with an open kitchen and friendly staff. The atmosphere is tidy and elegant but not stuffy and white table cloth. Once seated, one of the awesome staff will walk you through the menus and specials and pair wine with your meal. (The wine selection is top notch!) from the start to the finish and the staff makes sure every need is met. They accommodate allergies (nuts in our case) and make sure you feel at home. 10/10 would reccomend regardless of price !!
One of my most favourite restaurants in Vancouver is St. Lawrence. The flavours of all of their dishes and the execution are truly world class. The ambiance is really nice and service is genuinely friendly and helpful.
The drinks, maple pork rinds, rice pudding, and actually everything is good. I have never been disappointed by any dish at St Lawrence and it is a must visit restaurant for me. No surprise that they are consistently rated among the very best in Vancouver.
