My husband and I kept seeing this restaurant all over Vancouver so we figured we should try out what this chain restaurant has to offer. The website touts itself as having “Modern Canadian Cuisine.” I didn’t recognize anything immediately as “Canadian.” It seems to have a variety of fusion food from many cultures, which is something we do like. We managed to stop by for Happy Hour on our last day.
As soon as the host took care of the difficult party ahead of us, we were seated quickly outdoors with a nice view of English Bay. We waited a bit before a server came to help us and bring table settings. Service was good overall, but not exceptional in our opinion.
We enjoyed our drinks and food. Although not traditional, the Prawn Crunch Roll tasted delicious with sesame soy paper. We enjoyed these small savory bites that had a small kick to it. My husband enjoyed his Mini Crispy Sandwich Duo. The Truffle Fries were perfect the way we like it - crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and packed with flavor. The garlic aioli was a great dipping sauce. We would return for the ambiance and drinks/food!
Sat on the patio, wait time for three was about 30 minutes around 6 o’clock. My mum asked for salmon with the rain forest greens bowl but got chicken instead… we had to wait for another 15 minutes for the revised plate to arrive, which was an inconvenience as the rest of us had already received our food. But other than that, the food was delicious and a lovely view of the water and sunset!
We came here on a whim on a cloudy day and were lucky to have gotten a seat right away since this place is always pretty packed! We tried the holiday tasting menu and loved the overall experience, food quality and service. The restaurant is located in a prime location with a beautiful view of the bay; a must go!
Went on a weekend and it was very busy but staff were patient and friendly. Got Food in time and it is Tasty. We got a seat in lounge and view to the beach is good.
Things to note: Try their happy hour menu which has cheap drinks and food. Try to reserve before visiting on weekends as they pretty busy and wait times can be longer.
Such a delightful place. Not overly expensive, but great quality food for the price. I had the tuna poke bowl - very filling for lunch, the apple tart for dessert - from the first bite, my eyes were rolling back in my head. I had simple tequila spritzers as a refreshing drink. I think they added guava. It was delightful. Beautiful space and experience.
Its always , satisfying experience with this restaurant, they make the food with such a perfection... I feel they are obsessed for the perfection.
Out of my travelling experience , this is the place , where I will rate 10 stars for food .
Service is perfect...
Food is perfect.....
Everything on their menu is just best..
We made a reservation for 3 but our table was not ready. We believe a couple had taken our bigger table when the server wasn't looking and we had to sit at a 2 person table instead. The server gave us a complimentary first round of drinks to resolve the situation. They eventually seated us at a bigger table. We enjoyed our meal and the service was great.
We like this location no matter the weather because the beach view is always amazing. We made an early reservation and got a window seat shortly after we arrived. We had the prawn sushi roll, rice well cooked and the prawns were fresh. The mini burgers were delicious, the meat was moist and juicy. My favourite was the Szechuan chicken wrap, which never disappoints me. The crunchiness of the lettuce and the flavourful chicken were fantastic. Corey was our waitress and she an excellent job. We will be back soon.
