L'abattoir Restaurant - Vancouver - Photo album

A memorable dinner! The steak was one of the best steaks I ever had. The meat was like a butter melting in mouth. The fish was so lovely, and the idea of grapes with fish was so innovative to me. The desserts were one if the best parts to me. I see myself coming back just for having them again. The
We tried the Gaoler's tasting menu last night and we were wowed! Each dish was so well composed and unique, with delicious and some unexpected flavor combinations. You can see, taste and feel the amounts of thought and skill put into each item. My favorites were the baked oysters and the duck. The s
Highly recommend the scallops and the oysters! For mains, we had the steak and halibut. The steak was quite good. Cooked to perfection and amazing garnishes. Not really impressed by the halibut, bit salty and the vegetables that it came with reminded me of something you’d get out of a bag of frozen
Service, ambience and flavours were all phenomenal. My only complaint would be that both our dishes were on the colder side and that the steak Diane and Arctic char would have been a little more enjoyable if they were a tad hotter. Other than that, had a super enjoyable experience!
Probably the most creative restaurant in Vancouver that uplifts and mix ingredients to create a new taste you have never tried before. Plating is very elegant and polished, ambiance is great (although it can get a bit loud). L’Abattoir never disappoints whether it is on cocktail choices or food.
exceptional duck! scallops were also presented beautifully and the chosen flavors (addition of pineapple) paired nicely. servers were very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful and the atmosphere of the restaurant was lively and welcoming. i would definitely return for the gaoler’s menu :)
Amazing spot! Love the historic building that has been redone. Butcher block tables and exposed brick. Large windows. The space is very nice. The food was excellent. I had the butter poached cod with polenta fries. It was excellent. For starters we shared the oysters, beet carpaccio, and trout...al
Wow! Friends and I were visiting from out of town and decided to splurge on the Gaoler's menu. I had to be persuaded, but thankfully I was. Wonderful food, unique combinations, even the courses that weren't each of our favourites were still far and away delicious. Incredible wine pairing recommend
