Shopping in the Robson/Burrard area on a Saturday and looking for food at 2pm. So glad we caught the weekend brunch at Coast. I was pleasantly surprised with the crab and roasted pepper bennys. Although I must say the tater tots reminded me of the frozen ones.... The Ariel was a nice bubbly mid afternoon drink. The $10 benny special is a good bang for your buck especially given the nice establishment in the downtown core with professional staff. Would definitely come back.
We went to Coast recently for happy hour. They have an extensive menu with lots of great options and large portions perfect for sharing. Oysters are a great deal although the sizes of them seemed to vary quite significantly. Service was excellent, even with us sitting outside on the patio.
I took my bf here for a celebration. It’s a bit pricey but we really enjoyed our meal. For appys, we had a few oysters, hamachi and toro nigri and tuna sashimi. Everything was super fresh and delicious. The main course took awhile and our waiter Brandon actually brought us some sushi rolls to compensate for the waiting time. For the main course, I ordered the maple sablefish and bf ordered the scallops. The sablefish was absolutely divine. It was very tender and well worth the wait. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would definitely come back :)
Great service, I always feel super welcomed every time I go. The food is also spectacular. Always fresh oysters, happy hour menu is amazing. The crab dip is to die for, the kale hearts and brussel sprouts are also very good. Beef carparccio is very tender and fresh with edamame beans which I lovee, I do however wish the bread which comes with it was a bit softer. The chefs special roll is always fresh and very good each time I’ve been. And the taco is probably one of the best tacos I’ve ever had!
I met up with Q this week for a long due catch up date. We made it with one minute to spare, so we managed to get a drink order in at their Cocktail Hour pricing. What we drank: White Sangria ($5 – during Happy Hour). This was pretty standard, personally I prefer the sangria at West Oak. What I ate: Thai Coconut Curry mussels – lemongrass, ginger, chili, lime ($21.95)
I went to coast for dine out this year cause my boyfriend said he saw an excerpt about it on global news and said it looked pretty good.
Overall food was decent.. I wasn't totally blown away with my mussels and the flat bread was pretty good.
My boyfriends dine out was ok. His steak was a bit salty from the bacon wrapped around it.. And portion wise, it didn't look as big as on tv.
Service was ok....
This was our first visit to Coast.
Starters: crab cakes. 10/10!
Entrées: We had the spicy seafood stew and the daily special of halibut with vegetables and beurre blanc sauce. Both were well done. Would have like to have seen more clams/prawns in the stew and the broth could have used a dash of salt.
Dessert: the coconut banana butter cake recommended by the waiter and it was divine!
Our waiter was also very friendly and added to our amazing experience. A bit pricey but worth the experience. However, probably won't order the overpriced drinks next time.
Seafood was good and the fish was not over cooked!! The place was busy but the food came out at a reasonable time. The service was great from the hostess to the server. Awesome job!

I ate a late lunch here yesterday, I was shopping in the neighbourhood and needed a break. I chose to sit at the bar, I had oysters and lobster Mac and Cheese both were excellent. Friendly staff and chill atmosphere reasonably priced surprisingly well worth checking out if you're into seafood. I will be back 👌🏼
Went to this restaurant on a Monday night, made reservations ahead of time, got seated right away, had the dine out menu, with fresh oysters, stater was corn and potatoes soup, or salmon and shrimp sushi, main course was salmon or sirloin and lobster, desert was chocolate tart, I give this restaurant 3.5/5.0
Our first time to try Coast in celebration of the wife's birthday and they made it truly special for us. We had a feast with the clam chowder and chili garlic shrimp (we ordered this twice) being our top picks. Our server, Rachel was amazing and her manager, David made sure everything was perfect. Will definitely try their other offerings next time. Highly recommended if you love seafood and wish to impress your guests.
We booked a side of the restaurant and was able to enjoy a set meal with appetizer platters. Service was friendly, ambient lighting, not too noisy, and food was very fresh and delicious. I would definitely go back to try their other dishes.
Came to Coast for a Sunday dinner. It was clean and well kept. Quite busy around 7:30pm. The service is impeccable here. However, I wasn't quite a fan of the menu. Lots of sea food dishes if you are a sea food lover. The appetizers are also nice the sourdough with the tuna and crab dip. Cheese pizza and fries were offered for the kids. I ordered the 16oz Prime Ribeye (medium rare). I wasn't really a fan of the BBQ sauce on top, it came with veggies and mashed potatoes however the portions were very small. Barely any veggies or Mashed potatoes, but they were quite good. The dessert was a Banana cake with a white custard like sauce.
Our server made our night, she was energetic, funny and on top of everything. Make sure to order a few sushi rolls as they were great. The halibut wasn’t anything special, wouldn’t order it again.
Absolutely fabulous service on my visit. Sat at the bar and enjoyed blue fin tuna and barrata cheese and tomatoe salad. Both dishes exceptional to say the least. The bar tenders here are so much fun and really make you feel right at home. I can't wait to go back again sooner than later.
Came here for valentines day with my husband! Got in right away with no reso! Service was fast and efficient! The food was amazing and we were definitely stuffed after having the seafood tower! The seafood was very fresh! I definitely appreciate the social distancing for their tables! Will definitely be back!
We had a wonderful dinner here a few weeks ago. I wasn't sure what to expect from Coast, but were pleasantly surprised. The seafood was excellent. I highly reccomend trying one of the seafood towers, we ordered the basic one meant for two to share, but there was more than enough to share between three of us. The scallops and oysters were the stars of the tower (someone in our party doesn't particularly love oysters, and they even said they enjoyed them). I also reccomned trying the grilled octopus and a sushi roll or two. Service was a bit delayed, likely due to the grad events in town, but the atmosphere was great.
