The staff is very friendly. I bought a loaf of walnut sourdough, which is rich of flavor. They can help you slice the bread.
Good variety of breads available. The only issue is that it’s a little pricey if you compared it with other locations outside Granville island public market. We bought a croissant and we sat outside enjoying fresh air. Take care of seagulls if you sit outside.
Get the cinnamon cardamom cruffin and the raspberry dark chocolate scone
This has been one of our favourite bakeries to choose when we are on Granville Island..today we ordered a scone, croissant and muffin.. then sat in the seating area using the stairway to the 2nd floor landing just north of Terra Bread..great views..
My favorite bread shop! I've tried about five of their breads and my favorite one is the Green Olive Sourdough. They also have a great selection of desserts/pastries to choose from.
Their baked goods looked so good, had to give a couple of them a try! Purchased their Blueberry Bread and Cinnamon Cardamom Cruffin (given rave review by a patron behind me in line). The cruffin was nice and flakey, the flavour was subtle and the cardamom wasn't overpowering. The blueberry bread was more chewy and dense, almost danish like. It was given to me a little burnt around the edges and bottom (see picture - I didn't see the product being bagged and only saw when I took it out at home), but had a generous amount of berries. They're a bit on the pricier side for baked goods, but it's to be expected and the ingredients are of high quality.
Ok I was kinda taken back a little at cash for 6.12$ for an almond croissant. However after the first bite...i was ok with it. It was buttery, crispy, perfect sweetness and that crunchy layer of almond...yummm
Pricey, yes, but I haven't had tastier bread loaves in any other place. Just thinking about it makes me hungry! I guess "you get what you pay for". Not the daily bread I could afford, but from time to time and whenever Im around Granville Island, I get it for sure. Great staff!
Inside Granville Island, I was drawn to the delicious-looking double-baked almond croissant...a bit pricy at $5.95 and smaller than one at another bakery in the public market, but Terra Breads has a great rep. It was nice and crispy, flaky and had enough almond paste. Just a bit too sweet...
Terra Breads has great pastries! Close to the front door on the left. I bought 2 blueberry breads the first day then another one the next day because they were soooo good! Heaven!
