We had the french toast fried chicken & the fried chicken Benny. We added smoked salmon and bacon. Mouthwatering deliciousness!
The sweet and hot fried chicken has a lovely balance. Fluffy french toast with the perfect amount of cinnamon. The smoked salmon was also one of my favourites, not heavy on the salt, it was PERFECT. I had to order some to go, so I could enjoy it later.
Service: FRIENDLY, efficient and doing their absolute best as this is a busy restaurant ( and for good reason. We brought our 9month old and they were very accommodating.
Layout: well spaced out, we appreciate not being crammed into a small space. It is obvious they want to make sure you enjoy your experience
Wait time: we did have to wait 15-20min and arrived around 10:30 on a weekday. However, it is worth the wait. We did not feel rushed eating or being served.

I loved the cute little look of this restaurant. Very welcoming, very simple. The food was top notch brunch fair. They could have used a few more meat variety side options. But for a small community sure it's just right. You won't leave hungry or unhappy. Definitely worth a little hello.

Ok wow! This spot was amazing! A small cute restaurant with a small menu and fantastic staff, Eric was our server and he was so personable from the second we spoke.
We wanted seafood and decided to try 4 appetizers, one of which was a special.
Without question the crabcakes are fresh and more crab than cake, we could have had 5 orders of them.
We ordered a brownie for dessert and it was perfection.
Great location, great menu and good food! The oysters were absolutely massive and delicious!
We shared an ahi tuna appetizer and my wife had mussels for her main. I had a prosciutto wrapped ling cod. It was good, but very salty!

My husband and I celebrated our 15th wedding Anniversary at the Heartwood tonight. Amazing service! I am struggling to find the right words to tell you how wonderful our meal was. Crab Cakes to share to begin paired with glasses of white wine. Our mains were Scallop and Halibut plates. Presentation was beautiful. Taste was amazing! The Mushroom Risotto was perfection. We were surprised by a complimentary dessert from the chef. Delicious! All I can tell you for sure is that you NEED to eat here. We are staying at a fancy resort on the ocean. Lovely suites. But we would choose to eat every meal at the Heartwood if we could!!!!
We initially tried to get into Heartwood for dinner but realized they had a private event that evening. We settled on brunch the next day and were not disappointed. The cooks put love into every meal. Of course, we had one standard breakfast - delicious - and the French toast - cooked to perfection. Protip: get the housemade jam. It will change the way you think about jam forever.
