I am not a fish eater, but a couple of times a year I will try some exceptional fish and chips...this is one! The batter is light and super tasty, not greasy. The coleslaw is unreal. And the fries are amazing. Staff are so friendly and treated our already spoiled dog. Thanks so much for a great afternoon meal.
Delicious fresh fish and chips. They only have outdoor tables for now *October 2021. They only accept e-transfer or cash. The fish batter was really good. Super light and not greasy. The fries were good. Add your own salt. They don't salt it for you.
Great little joint for fish and chips. Their prime rib burger is pretty good too. Limited parking spaces.
HUGE portions of fish and chips,which explains the rather high prices. There was a bit of a wait but it was very busy and the staff was quite friendly. Recommend the 1-piece unless you are starving. We both got the two piece each and could have definitely shared one. Tasty batter but overall quite greasy. Despite that fish was tender and flavorful. Fries were perfect.
The cod is fresh and the portions are HUGE. There isn't the option of other fish like halibut, but they do have prawns. A heads up that the batter is more on the plain side and definitely requires some seasoning.
This was hands down the best fish I have ever had. Nice light and very crispy breading packed with flavour.
Best fish and chips in town, better than a lot of “famous” places…super fresh fish and the right amount of breading. Fish was flaky and melt in my mouth. Would go back again when I’m in the area!
We happened upon Jiggers' food truck our first afternoon exploring Ucluelet. We had supper ready back at our unit, but the line up was so long we were tempted to checked it out. My wife ordered the 2 piece fish and chips and I got the Tiger Prawn meal. Very quickly we were served and decided to eat right there so it would be hot. There was ample outdoor seating. My wife said she had never had such tender and flaky fish, and I enjoyed the prawns which came with coleslaw, fries and dipping sauce. It was delicious and seemed very fresh. I couldn't finish my fries, and my wife couldn't finish her fish as we were both completely full. Ucluelet is magical, and JIggers is one of the reasons for that. We would recommend a visit.
