Had lunch here with my mother recently and it was delightful. Though the building itself is fairly non-descript, and the decor unpretentious, the food is well beyond my expectations of any restaurant in my somewhat sleepy hometown. I had an Asian chicken salad sandwich on a croissant, paired with their harvest bisque; a mixture of squash, rutabaga, and carrots. I ordered one of their buttermilk biscuits on the side.
The chicken salad was well-balanced and tasty, with a refreshing hint of citrus on a croissant that was soft and light. The bisque was tangy and slightly sweet, with a perfect sprinkle of pepper and a garnish of chopped green onion that complimented the flavours well. The biscuit was buttery, soft and moist on the inside with a nice, slight crunch to the exterior crust.
The service here is exceptional, the staff friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend anyone who finds themselves hungry in Truro seek out The Food Muster and have a bite.
We had meal here at the Food Muster with friends and we all enjoyed it. The food was excellent - I choose the steak special - it was done to my specifications, lovely mixed veg to go with it with a wonder flavor. We shared a couple of desserts and they we a delight to top off our meal. Good service, great people. We are going back again soon.
