These were the best mussels I’ve ever had in my life. And I’ve eaten a lot of mussels in a lot of different countries. These tasted fresh from the ocean, and didn’t even need much broth or veggies. They were so simple yet so delicious, especially when dipped in the warm garlic butter. The value is also amazing, getting a ton of mussels for only $16. We also ordered the fish burger and chowder which were fabulous. The view from outside the restaurant it also beautiful!

We were accommodated on the outdoor patio with our Covid concerns on a beautiful sunny day. The menu is extensive to meet any of your seafood cravings. Our meals were gourmet delicious! We would love to come back…2-3 times at least. The beautiful drive past the Tablelands to Trout River is a bonus!

Great service, great food, great history, and great views. What on earth else can you ask for in today's world....from the scallops to the fresh lobster and attentive service from the moment we stepped in the door. We will be back!

When you want a great meal, this place is well worth the drive! Nancy had the Chowder, I had the Skippers Scoff (cod, ocean perch, sole) w/ Rosemary fried potatoes.

Very cute restaurant. You are greeted by the owner who is so enthusiastic and happy. She has her opening spiel where she tells about the history of the restaurant, which is cute. She is also very accommodating and helpful. Food is well presented and fresh. Unfortunately it was a little bit small. Ie crabs didn't come with any starch. I'm not a big bread or potatoes fan normally, but you need something to fill you up since crab isn't the most filling. However, overall great experience :)

Loved it - right on the ocean - great view and super friendly staff. Don't go to trout river and not stop in! I had fish sandwich and chowder - very good!

The food was absolutely amazing and a very decent price too. Staff was very accommodating too, nice ocean side view and the music is soul soothing. It's a must go sort of place in my opinion, don't forget to get your ice cream cones on your way out.
