One of the go-to places in Koreatown, the Owl provides a nice easy-going atmosphere for a night with friends. They have a couple of wooden booths in the corner where you can order a pitcher of sweet yogurt soju (or should I say milk from heaven) while watching K-pop videos that play on the TVs 24/7.
You can squish 6-10 people in the booths, maybe even more depending on how small your friends are and how much you like them ha ha... but either way, the menu offers a bunch of combos that are great for sharing. I've been here a few times but my last visit was with a group of 4, and we ordered Combo D-2, which was a giant bubbling concoction of ramen, sausages, Spam, mushrooms, zucchini, cabbage, beansprouts, Korean rice cakes, and cheese in a spiced meat broth. Never been a fan of Spam or Kraft cheese but there was something really home-y about the dish that was quite satisfying, not to mention also wallet-friendly. ;)
The staff aren't going to be your BFF but they will get you what you need. And besides... yogurt soju.
Best pork bone soup in town. defiantely worth the price open late for taking girlfriend.
Great food!. Delicious Korean pork bone soup, ($7). I'll come back to try other dishes from the menu. The staff is really friendly and helpful.
Yummy. Looking for the real Korean food? this is the place..
Awesome pork bone soup for only $7. It's a small place but I always order takeout. Open almost 24/7, great for midnight bite to eat.
Smelled good walking in. Located on the second floor, no english sign with name, but not hard to find. Price is fare for the food. Really filling. Check it out. Gets really busy around dinner time.
I always wanted to try Korean pork bone soup and there was probably no where better to try it than Korea Town’s Owl of Minerva which I have previously read about on...
I always order the pork bone soup here, is like $8.99 and it full me up very much.
Love the food, fast service, cheap food and 24 hours. What more can you ask for?
A friend of mine wanted Korean so we came here. It was alright, I wasn't blown away. The service was quick, but they didn't seem particularly friendly or caring. We were in a large booth, which is maybe why the service was lacking, as some of us were too far to be passed anything. Beers were just set in the middle of the table for us to help ourselves, which I didn't really mind. And for the price, I don't think you can really expect too much.
