This place is hakka it.. Some of the best Hakka joints in Toronto are east of Yonge. Add this to the growing list. You're coming for the food and not the ambiance.
Anyone mid-town, Danforth area that's feenin for Hakka.. this is the closest spot. There's another down the street, but I haven't been there since my first visit years ago and I wasn't impressed. Faley, does the trick.
If you don't know what Hakka cuisine is.. it's Chinese pimped with spices/chili's.
Chinese Canadian spots (a few left) it's about the Sweet & Sour Chicken Balls...
Most Chinese restaurants serve General Tao Chicken - sweet with a lil spice..
But the norm at Hakka spots is Chili Chicken - breaded chicken w/ chili
The staple - Chili Chicken is on point here. My friend enjoyed whatever fish dish they ordered, so this place gets the thumbs up.
One of the best in Hakka Chinese. I visit this place at least twice a week and never was once disappointed. There tiger shrimps and vegetables is my favourite. Wonton soup is to die for!!!
Great food and really good prices. Chili chicken is one of the best in the GTA and the owners are super friendly. Highly recommended
Good prices, SUPER friendly staff, big portions. (I had the sweet and sour chicken with rice and I have no complaints)
