Some of the best Thai food in the city. Spicy Thai has survived longer than most restaurants in the big smoke. The family owned restaurant has been a staple on the waterfront for years, with a huge patio and a large menu you simply can't go wrong eating here.
I came with some friends after taking a stroll through the Redpath Festival. We thought it was at the Redpath factory however, it was actually west of the Harbourfront Centre. Those ships actually fired a few live cannon shots. It scared the crap out of me. Afterwards, we were looking around for some decent places to eat without breaking the wallet. I happen to remember this is place from the previous night after the Canada Day fireworks. Next to Rees park was this Thai cafe. It has a decent size patio away from the busy strollers on Queens Quay. The service was good and it has all your Thai favorites including Chicken, Beef, and Shrimp Pad Thai. I ordered their Curry Beef with rice and it was yummy. I could taste the coconut milk and the spicy taste of the curry. All this while enjoying outdoors on their patio on a gorgeous day. Not a bad way to wind up a long weekend.
Have been typically taking takeouts from here. Decent place with nice Veggie Options. Have tried the thai eggplant and pad woon sen. Pretty decent on the taste front.
