Make a reservation, you need to eat here! Fantastic food with a great view. We enjoyed the Pearl Platter, bEEf tartar, crab stuffed avocado, Ricotta gnudi, and the chocolate desert. Definitely going back.
Very nice smart setting. Menu was small with nice selection. The diamond platter is a nice choice for a couple but was overpriced for the selection provided. Very nice service. Appetizers were average but dessert was exciting.

We came here for a Winterlicious Sunday lunch double date! Everything on the Winterlicious menu just tasted okay and you could tell the food was mass produced. HOWEVER, things on their regular menu like their Caesar ($16) which comes with a freshly shucked oyster was AMAZING! Their fresh seafood platter from their raw bar was also very tasty and fresh. It comes in two sizes - we decided to get the smaller platter ($50) as a pre-appetizer. It came with 6 oysters, 6 clams, 3 tuna sashimi, and 3 shrimps.
Details about Winterlicious: Tomato soup was standard. The shrimp salad was literally served as a slice of an iceberg lettuce... some might say this is unique but I just say it's easier prep for them and it felt like I was eating a plate of unprepped salad. The clam linguine had squid pasta mixed in but the sauce consistency was too thin and there was not enough of it so it felt like we were eating bland and boiled pasta. The cod on top of polenta was alright. Dessert was a blueberry crumble, Boston pie and root beer float - these were all decent!
Given how good their fresh seafood platter and Caesar were (and I do love a good Caesar)... I miiiiiiiight come back in the summer for their rooftop patio if it's convenient. Another chance for the Chase?
Loved everything about this place! Food and service were both amazing, I would come here all the time if I could afford it. The plating was so nice and the halibut was cooked to perfection.

When you go out to eat with my cousin, you know you’re in for good times. It’d been way too long since we last hang out so I let her choose the spot for a Friday work lunch (well, work for her at least). She loves classy spots so she ended up choosing The Chase – did I mention it has an unreal rooftop patio?
To get to said rooftop, you need to take the shortcut alleyway to the back of the restaurant and upon entering, you’ll see an elevator to your left. Take that and you’ll be whisked up to the top floor.
Be prepared to eat with all the downtown workers, all dressed up in suits and dresses. Felt sorry for them because it was scorcher of a day and the sun was out full blast. Lucky, we had a table by the windows and were partially covered.
This place is fancyyyyy. Heck, they filmed an episode of Suits in the back area of the restaurant. Nice to see they have a lunch menu but prices fall into dinner territory.
Appetizers and couple sharing plates to start. Entrees are split into meat, fish and vegetables/pasta. There’s also a couple sides to throw in for good measure.
Service was top notch as our waitress was on top of drinks and the works. I believe one of the cooks came out to bring out one of their dishes which was a nice touch.
- Lamb ($28.00) - shank tagine, pomegranate, grilled bitter greens and couscous. Oh man, the couscous and vegetables (roasted cauliflower and carrots) were unbelievable. Pomegranate and lamb is a great combo although normally you see that with Persian food. Lamb was flavourful but I wish it was more gamey. You couldn’t really tell that it was lamb, which defeats the purpose of ordering it. Give me that lamb, gamey, juicyness.
- Albacore tuna ($29.00) - seared loin crusted in fresh herbs served with mixed grain salad, pickled vegetables, feta and olives. Look at the sear on the outside and nice rawness on the inside. Nice thickness, perfectly cooked with a super tasty sauce underneath.
- Frites ($8.00) - pecorino, truffle and herb aioli. S wanted fries to round out our meal and these were satisfying.
Cool, trendy spot if you like combining food with rooftops and patios. Bring the expense account card with you! Anyone know where I can get one of those?
Best place to celebrate my birthday.. Hospitality is perfect and they offer good veg/vegan options ... Light and ambience gives elegant look and long windows over looks Toronto downtown .. Mushroom with flat bread was perfect to start with Strawberry basil cocktail .. Farro Verde as main dish had nice almond sesame paste which made it yummm .. And at last deserts were woww .. Rhubarb strawberry n Chocolate coffee-- Strawberry one was vegan, both very well presented.. Chocolate coffee had flavours of Chocolate, coffee, hazelnut, cashew, chocolate brownie enclosed in coffee flavored chocolate waffer..
Great! Delicious and interesting plates. Good atmosphere. Really excellent service - best in a long while. Wines expensive but good. Overall $150 pp.

Heard a lot of great things about the Chase and decided to come here for Winterlicious dinner. It's quite the nice upscale restaurant with that trendy feeling inside. Our reservation was for 7:30 but it took 20 minutes to setup our table which was a bit irritating. It took about 40 minutes to have our food orders placed. It was a shame that everything was pushed back because the food was great and it is as good as people say it is. It's too bad the customer service level was subpar. I ordered the Salmon tartare and it was quite delicious and seasoned well. For the main course, I ordered the Braised Beef Short Rib. It was nice, juicy and tender. Definitely love this dish and how it was cooked. For dessert, I got the Caramelized Banana ice cream sundae. There wasn't anything special about it but I love ice cream so I'm bias. For some strange reason, the waiter forgot my dessert and didn't noticed for a good 5 minutes and I had to flag him down. Overall, its a great restaurant with delicious food. I just wished the service was a lot better.
This is my go-to spot for booking work dinners. Professional, sleek and all class, the staff at The Chase know exactly how to to handle business people. Food is awesome too, so that helps. The view is also spectacular, so great for out-of-towners. I highly recommend it.
Just had the most amazing dining experience in Toronto thus far!
Me and the family are big foodies and we love trying new places and different cuisines. Just dined at The Chase to celebrate moms b'day. The night started off rocky because our table wasn't available in time for our reservation (the group before us were enjoying their time a bit much I guess as well). In fact we got our table 45 minutes late. We waited at the bar though and the staff took great care of us. We ordered a few amazingly delicious cocktails and kept entertained. They served us a complimentary app while we waited! Dinner was worth the wait.. We got the Avacado app to start, Tuna from the raw menu and Arctic Char and Chicken for 2 for the mains! Each item was more scrumptious than the other 😋
Complimentary dessert for moms b'day was the cherry on top 😊
