Tried George's for the first time last night. Ordered 2 small pizzas and a panzerotto. The "small" is more like a medium, good cheese to topping ratio and the crust - wow! really amazing!
This place is really unassuming, but I'm glad we tried it. George (the owner) is a really nice guy and I got the impression that this place is a real neighbourhood staple.
Will absolutely order again.
Disclosure: I went here after receiving a voucher from Zomato, which covered the cost of the pizza.
I went here with some friends for lunch. We ordered a freshly-made pizza, which took about 20 minutes to make (though pre-made slices were available). The place was small -- only a few counters with standing space for maybe a half dozen people. Overall, not too unusual for pizza joints in the city. The owner was busy chopping fresh vegetables behind the counter as the pizza cooked, which is always a good sign.
The pizza came out of the oven very hot. I burned my mouth, because I am impatient. The toppings were all good and generously applied, but the standout to me was the crust. Thin on the bottom, and perfectly crispy. It was able to hold the weight of all of the toppings without sagging.
Overall, the pizza was excellent, and the prices seemed pretty standard (which is to say that you can get a pretty cheap lunch). I'd recommend the pizza if you're in the area.
Great food, friendly staff, awesome price... Dine in or take out serves all kinds of different foods.. All are great! Fries and gravy are to die for
