Loved the place, the atmosphere, the food and the prices! The pho was delicious and the portion was huge!
We always have a great meal here. Really well priced. Fast and friendly service and they happily accommodate vegan pho lovers.
Pho Orchid is a busy establishment in a basement with wraparound windows to the street at the corner of Chestnut & Dundas serving a wide variety of dishes including vegetarian options such as the cold spring rolls & Pho' with tofu & veggies as pictured served fast by friendly staff.
1) Shrimp paste on sugar cane
2) house special rice plate
3) veal rib grilled chicken and steamed crab egg rice plate
4) bun vermicelli grilled pork grilled chicken and spring roll
are just some of the awesome dishes to try out at Pho Orchid.
My first impression of PO was that it was a quiet, lazy looking establishment but boy was I wrong. Inside the kitchen is definitely another story.
The food is brilliant and I never thought Vietnamese food could be this good.
Do give Pho Orchid a try as it won't disappoint.
It's ok. Decent pho. Wont blow your mind but it wont let you down either.
Quick Lunch. Good pho for lunch with friends - I thought the broth was good! I ordered the veg/tofu pho and it was much more flavourful than other veggie phos I've had.
The noodle dishes being served to other tables looked good as well.
Not Bad, Not Great. This is a pretty average Vietnamese restaurant. It certainly isn't going to blow your mind, but it is very fast and still satisfies your hunger. This basement restaurant sometimes has a strange smell and I was a little disappointed by the mango milkshake. I have ordered both the Pho and the Bun and I always finish with a satisfied belly. But, again, It is only all right. It's pretty close to where I live so I've done takeout a few times and sat in once. And, it's not bad. But, if you're looking for the best quality, I'd probably head west to Spadina.
