The portion is as per usual, large, typical, Vietnamese pho places.
Great price for the quantity. The broth has flavour on it's own. I do recommend using the sauces supplied on the table to add some spice or sweetness to it.
There is a fair amount of meat in the serving.
The menu has other dishes too so if you just want some Vietnamese or Chinese food, they have 3 pages from which to choose from. Again, portions are big. So you better be hungry.
It was amazing food!
We had thai curry with shrimps and a schezwan chicken. Both were accompanied with rice and both were delicious. The staff was kind to answer our questions regarding the inclusions in the dishes we ordered.
The ambience is good but can be better.
If you are looking for some comfort food and ambience , 88 Pho is where you will find solace.
Service is very quick. Food is tasty and authentic compared to other Thai restaurants I have tried. My favorite is the wonton soup and the vegetable rolled that I ordered once. Added was the main dish which consisted of shrimps over noodles. I apologize I do not have the exact dish name but hopefully the pictures I will post will shed a light.
Each dish was savory and the waiter was kind to offer us to take the rest of the meal with us home.
The $ is very appropriate to the quantity of food being served.
A must try in the heart of North York on Yonge street not far from the North York center.
Pho 88 is my go-to pho restaurant, I'm here at least once a week. The spring rolls are amazing as well. I love all the servers, the food never lets me down. To be honest, I've had better pho from different restaurants (in different cities) but in Toronto, this location special is my favourite.
Hello everyone!On a warm day, Danny and I were at North York Station. We got hungry and debated if we should go to Sushi Bong for their famous huge Dragon Rolls or Pho Noodles. We ended up at Pho 88 because it was closer. . We both order Rare Beef Pho Noodles. Danny had his in Large. I order it in Small. Don't get me wrong, I'm usually a very hungry girl but just wasn't feeling hungry that day.
The bbq is great. For curries I would suggest the lemon grass chicken. You should always have some viet coffee. We ordered the spring roll platter which is a mild surprise. The service is ok, although a little more interaction would be fantastic.
My friend and I decided to come here on a cold winter's night for some warm comfort prior to watching The Revenant in the area (Good flick, go watch it!). What better way than over a large bowl of hot soup noodles! I ordered their large House Special noodles ($8.75) which includes beef, tripe, tendons, and lots of sprouts. I added the lime juice and hot chili oil for added pizzazz. It really hit the spot as I didn't have too much earlier in the day. The noodles were just right, not overcooked and the soup was not over seasoned. Just what the doctor ordered before a 2.5 hour movie! Just remember to go to the washroom before the start of the movie!
The food was good although the quantity was less than usual. The service and the atmosphere were also good.
Really yummy pad thai. Lots of good asian options, chinese, thai, veitnamese. Good prices.
Pho is such a comfort food for me, the hot bowl of rice noodles and savoury broth is perfect for cold days and filling but lighter than ramen noodles or rice.
