It's easy to give this place two thumbs up - really very good breakfast and magical home fries. The service is outstanding - attentive but not intrusive - my coffee never stays empty for long. Sunny Up is the quintessential family run business - run with pride and and exceptional customer service. If you live in Scarborough, Sunny Up should become your brekkie hot spot.
Ambience score: 4/5 - squeaky clean, neat, roomy. Sunny Up isn't "bustling" with energy and you won't find a lot of characters here, but if you like a quiet place to eat, this is it.

My aunt and her friends come here regularly on Saturday. The food is good, the atmosphere is nice! And the waitstaff are friendly. They always seem happy when they come here.
A great find for breakfast. Coffee is hot , food portions are larger and both are delicious. Food worth the price. I forgot to take a picture of my meal.... but I ordered the sunny up special , 3 eggs with bacon / hashbrowns , toast and some fruit. Please note that their hashbrowns are the tastiest I’ve tried in Toronto.
Not a bad place nice friendly atmosphere, food is good but a bit too greasy for my liking. Their home fries are amazing, but pancakes were still raw inside and egg was still raw, may have just came at a bad time when they were in a rush.
My first restaurant visit in Toronto, and for more than a year I still do visit this place for its relaxed atmosphere. The food is just perfect for us. The staff is attentive and quick. It seems to be the only great and efficient restaurant in the area.
