Friendly staff. Nice little place. Sashimi was fresh. California roll is a a bit big and too much rice. Prefer the normal conventional way to roll it.

Great take-out sushi from a cozy restaurant!. A tiny little treasure in the Leaside neighbourhood for take-out sushi. Staff were friendly and courteous and the food was amazing! I'd go again!

I ♥ their Sushi!. I usually go there once or twice a week. Their Sushi is always good... Super duper yummy!! They NEVER gave us bad experience. TheI have lived many countries. Also I tried California Roll at many places in many countries. Nigiriya's California roll is the ☆BEST☆ in the world!! However,baked scallop roll and teriyaki salmon are also nice. I cant wait next time. Mouth watering!!

I'm allergic to fish but I like Japanese food, especially veggie rolls. Having just moved into the Leaside area, I was surprised when my landlord told me that there was a good sushi restaurant down the street.

Good was the ultimate understatement. Nigirya has friendly staff and the place is clean and tidy. That was a good impression. I ordered a couple maki rolls (Kappa and Vege-futo) to take home.

My reaction after my first bite into the kappa roll was simply "Mmmm!" - the sort of Mmmm that one gives when one is truly enjoying what they are eating. I never knew how such a simple roll could taste so good! The vege-futo garnered the same reaction. I visited a week later and ordered more. I'm definitely going to be a regular here!

I visited two other restaurants in the area and immediately noticed differences in flavour. Nigiriya has set the bar. If I reacted like this to veggie rolls, it makes me wonder how my friends would react with the fish? I'll post in another review when I get fully settled into my apartment and host my friends for a party.

Excellent sushi. This is the place for take out sushi. Excellent selection of fish. Fresh and beautifully prepared. There are cheaper places in the area but I don't compromise. When raw fish is involved I want the best. In midtown Toronto, I have found the best sushi at Nigiriya. Note that parking can be tricky at lunch time.

Wow!. Great reasonable sushi! I love the teriyaki salmon roll which I can't seem to find anywhere else. It is addictive...
