The Ritz has been at this spot on Yonge just south of Bloor for ages and continues to provide straight up tasty Caribbean meals at a reasonable price such as the pictured veg lunch packet of Channa, Rice and coleslaw for 7 bucks served by nice staff, to take away or to eat in their spacious front space as pictured.

I came in here for lunch last week for their lunch special ($6.75). I ordered jerk chicken with rice and peas which came with gravy and coleslaw. The meal as a whole was nice and spicy which is just how I like it. There was lots of food, in fact, I couldn't finish the whole thing or I was risking a solid afternoon nap. The chicken was really good which should be the focal point - nice and juicy and spiced to perfection. I will definitely return to try some of my other Caribbean favourites!

Cheap, good, filling and pretty authentic. I much rather have Caribbean food in Scarborough or the west end but Ritz is my go to place for jerk chicken downtown. Always ask for extra gravy over your rice and peas mmmmm. Also love how the new renovations to the place look - much cleaner and comfortable seating areas compared to before !

My "go to" once a week at least. The jerk chicken special and also the curry chicken roti- DELISH!! Festivals are great, the beef patties are standard. I always go back

Cheap filling tasty and authentic- what more to ask for ?. Hole-in-the-wall on Yonge St just south of Dundas Square. You order the food from a steam table and pay at the end before finding a seat and Caribbean food heaven!
The combos are huge (and I'm talking the 'small' plates here): each comes with meat/chicken (bbq, jerk or fried) together with your choice of starch (rice 'n' peas or boiled banana with dumpling) and salad (coleslaw is far better than the iceberg lettuce). Go adventurous and try the bananas with dumplings- the latter is delicious while the former maybe bit of an acquired taste.Everything seems freshly made and tastes good.
The prices are very reasonable for the amount you get and they have a decent selection of soft drinks (both Caribbean and more mainstream options).
The place was busy on a recent evening with everyone from 20-something dudes to families with kids to middle-aged couples, all feasting on Caribbean spices. Try it out and spread the word!

Best roti in the area. Granted the place doesn't seem like much from the outside (and even the inside)....the food is delicious

For those who haven't been. It's a like a cafeteria style service. Line up..order food from the variety in the steam table and pay at the cash. But don't be fooled. It is delicious. Recommend you all try the roti. YUM!

Great Roti. This place always has a lineup at lunch, but it moved very fast. The roti was very good. No bones, no gristle. I liked it.

Great little place. Huge line at lunch that went very fast. Hot delicious choices. Love the jerk chicken. Huge value and it's obviously a very popular place.

Excellent classic Jamaican food. Great friendly service and good tunes playing. I just went back after their lengthy renovations. Much cleaner dining area, but still the same great food.
