This place is well worth the drive and also fast service and very great service. I asked a question and the server was able to answer very well. If your looking for a fun place to go and enjoy the food and environment check this place out!
Geeat food, with great combination of dishes mixed into a bag of happiness.... but wait theres more you have to de-shell every shrimp crawfish lobers with your own two hands. The only thing i could be up in arms about the price was steep. Go thing it was worth it cause i woild dine and ditch that $80 price quick quick.
This is my second time to Captain's Boil (@thecaptainsboil), Toronto's 1st seafood boil restaurant. I have been to the 1st location a while ago and this is already their 5th location in the GTA area with plans for many more. After visiting the 1st location, I was actually kind of disappointed that it wasn't as good as the one we had in Las Vegas (see post here) and so much more expensive... but I change my mind with this location, it was fresh well cook and well season and more worth the price tag in comparison.
The restaurant has has one floor with a combination of booths and tables, and a large bar. The ceiling resembles the hull of a ship with exposed frames that represent the skeleton (rib) of the boat.
Having been to another Captain’s Boil location prior to this restaurant opening (read my review of the Bayview and Eglinton Ave. location), I was able to have a comparison point. The food at The Little Italy location was consistently delicious to my first experience, where the seafood was cooked to perfection (not overcooked or undercooked).
So what makes Captain’s Boil Little Italy location unique?
The bags of seafood gradually started to arrive at our tables. Our tablemates got an assortment of different seafood like clams, mussels, lobster, crawfish, snow crab legs so we were able to somewhat try out what there were to offer (they also offer king crab and Dungeness crab at the restaurant). Everything was so delicious!
I was especially content with my seafood that both ended up arriving in Captain Boil's sauce. The Captian Boil's sauce is a mixture of their three other sauces: Cajun Cajun, Lemon Pepper, and Garlic Sauce. It was quite spicy too since I had chosen a medium heat. The crawfish actually were quite large and had a lot of meat in its claws too -- normally when you eat crawfish, you just eat the head and body and there is little meat inside the claws.
