Loved the food and the place. Always busy so you might have to wait a bit. We had ordered 'The Magic' and cuttlefish balls and both were delicious. We had ordered a small serving and that in itself was quite filling. Service is quick and polite. We will be definitely returning to this place!

Wonderful, quick service. Serving size was great for me but the hubby could have eaten more lol! The food was fantastic though! We will definitely be returning to try more dishes!

Good fresh noodles, however the broth wasn't very good. And the meat was very tough and not good either. Wasn't tender and were not good cuts. Broths were over spiced or really salty. For example mine had a very overwhelming clove flavour to it, all I could taste were cloves. If they put a little more time into the rest of the dish it would be a great restaurant. Unfortunately they seem to rush through the rest of the dish and focussed all their attention on the noodles. Lots of room for improvement.

Came here on a Monday afternoon at 1p.m., and man, was the place packed! If we came any earlier, we would have had to wait. We were seated right in front of the open kitchen, so we saw our noodles being handmade and prepared. We also saw the knife cutting in action for the knife-cut noodles!
My family ordered the house noodles, which came with an egg, pork chop, beef tripe, lamb, etc. I ordered a lamb hand-pulled noodles, and it was absolutely fantastic. It was delicious, and very fragrant. When I gave my leftovers to my dad, he inhaled it all and even took two large sips of the broth... I guess he liked it very much! In fact, the broth smelled very much like Little Mongolian Sheep, so I was so afraid that it was all MSG. Fortunately, my family and I were not really thirsty after (minimal thirst), so my guess is that there was only a little, if none, MSG.

Magic Noodle and places like it are spreading like wildfire and rightfully so! This small little restaurant is popular for their hand pulled noodles, mostly doused in soup. The place inside is tiny and they do a good job of getting as many people in there as possible, but lineups do tend to be frequent despite being open 24 hours a day.

Noodle soups come in regular or large size and are roughly $7-8 respectively. I had the hand pulled noodle soup with roast duck and BBQ pork. The gf ordered the Original Beef Noodle Soup. The broth has a distinct flavor that isn't overpowering but lends itself well to apply other spices like pepper or chili oil. The roast duck and roast pork were good. The portion size of the meat was rather small, but the size of the meats make up for it. The hand pulled noodle is what really makes the whole dish stand out. They're uber long noodles that are soft and chewy, but soak up the broth flavor wonderfully. It's the real reason for the 4 stars.

We also ordered some lamb skewers and squid skewers. For $1.99 each, you get giant skewers that are aromatic and juicy. The char flavor is there and doesn't get overpowered by the cumin and other spices. I hate when those other places put so much damn seasoning that I cannot even taste the meat. You get the meat here.

The hand pulled noodles are incredible and worth the price of admission alone. Don't bring a group larger than 4 as it's a pretty small place. Food comes out quick and turnaround time reflects that, so don't be discouraged if you see a lineup. Make your way in.

Went to this place when they first opened, was really impressed. Their freshly made noodles are really good. Nice texture and soup base is good as well. Recommended.

Magic Noodle is located in Scarborough near Midland and Mcnicoll. Although it's quite close to me, I haven't had the chance of going until today.

It's not a huge restaurant, but has enough space for customers to be seated. It's also open 24/7 so I can imagine, they'd probably have a ton of business late at night when other stores are closed. When we walked in, we noticed that all of the staff members were sitting down eating. We figured the staff were on break or we were there at a wrong time. Yet, we were seated by the waitress and given a menu to order from. Each table had lemon water. The menu itself has a ton of beef and pork dishes; not enough seafood options. They are well known for their noodles which are hand pulled and cut a short distance from you (viewable through their looking glass). They have many soup options as well as side options.

Today we decided to order the Braised Beef Noodles and a Beef Wrap. Unfortunately, the wait to order our food was extremely long. I spent a good ten minutes watching the staff at Magic Noodle eating their food. A server got up to help two other tables (Asian) but fully ignored us. At one point, I was ready to walk out and finally when she looked in our direction, I waved. We ordered our dishes.

The soup was the first to come and the beef wrap took much longer so I had to watch my friend finish up the soup, as I starved myself. The soup broth was flavourful and nicely seasoned. The noodles with a bit of chilli sauce was soft and had a light flavour. Overall, I enjoyed the broth immensely. The beef wrap was a bit too oily for my liking but the flavours were great. It was again, nicely seasoned and I enjoyed the taste of the beef within the crispy wrap.

I would definitely be back for the soup as I think it may have been one of my favourite soups that I have tried in the area.

Magic Noodle is great partially because it's open 24/7. There's more to it than that though -- their handpulled noodles have great texture and flavour, and their sides are also lovely.
I particularly enjoy eating their lamb skewers, and I think they have one of the best lamb skewers in Scarborough. This is one of my favourite places to come for a midnight snack after I've been bowling, playing pool, or other activities. I've come here many times and the quality has been relatively consistent. This place is almost always crowded, and I don't always like the service here, but the food is worth it.

The restaurant was quite busy on a Friday night around 6pm. Luckily, we got seats after waiting for a few minutes.

We ordered the pork ear in soy sauce. It was a good portion and the pork ears were chewy. It was good with the sauce, but could have used some spice to it.

I ordered the hand pulled noodles with beef. I really enjoyed the broth. The noodles were delicious but could have been more chewy. There was enough slices of beef for the whole meal. I had the small and it was very filling.

It was a good meal for a very economical price but it is not something I would crave for.

Over the past few months, Magic Noodle kept popping-up on my social media streams. From Instagram to food blogs, all of the photos and reviews looked super promising. The Scarborough location of Magic Noodle is open 24/7, a rarity in Toronto. This meant that I could plan for an early lunch, 11am, and beat the crowd. Even at 11, quite a few tables were already occupied and by the time we left at noon, there was a wait. The space inside was clean, modern and and compact with only 30-40 seats.

One thing that never changed at Magic Noodle is the crowd, there will always be a line up and I’m pretty sure they don’t take reservation either. With that said, the servers never rushed my table although there would be 10 people waiting for seats. In addition, don’t expect exceptional services here lol, the servers are efficient but not super friendly nor tentative.

The good thing about Magic Noodle is that you know for sure you are getting fresh homemade noodles. The chefs are constantly pulling and stretching (occasionally slamming) the noodles right in front of your eyes.

Thinking the house special magic noodle’s ($7.99 for small) picture looked amazing, we order this with the fifth thickness (traditional). Like most food advertising, the actual dish paled in comparison from the menu: the sunny side egg in the picture became an overdone made-ahead-of-time one, while the clear soup base with hints of red chili oil was tinged yellow and tasted of curry instead. But, the bowl was similar sized and had the brisket, beef, turnip, tendon and garnishes pictured. With fresh pasta it’s hard for it to ever be al dante – after all it has just been made with a ball of soft dough moments from serving. So, it’s natural for the noodles to seem soft and really it’s the delicate silky texture that people enjoy. For me, the noodles were decent but was a tad

There are quite a few other notable noodle shops close by, but none with the artistic emphasis that Magic Noodle showcases with their traditional Chinese noodles. Normally when we pass by the plaza that Magic Noodle is located, there is always a long line waiting for a chance to sit down and eat. The restaurant itself is not very large, but spacious enough that you wouldn’t feel confined. For our visit we went to visit at 5:00 pm, which ended up being the right thing to do as we were quickly seated. Later in our meal, the line expanded really quickly, so my first suggestion would be to try out the restaurant during downtime further from the regular 6:00-7:00 dinner time that most people are used to.

The three of us each ordered our own hand-pulled noodle. All noodles come in two sizes, and early as it was, we all decided to eat heartily and think about the consequences later and chose the larger size. My mom went with the House Special Hand-pulled Noodle, which included a large assortment of meats and fried egg laid on top. The meat was very tender and savoury, adding to the soft, springy taste of the noodles.

The ramen noodles were so fine, soft, and delicious too. I can’t put it to words to describe just how good these noodles were. The soup base itself was full of hot chili oil but surprisingly, the entire bowl wasn’t too hot. It was the perfect level of spice.

This is a short post just showcasing this already popular noodle house called Magic Noodles. It’s open 24 hours, has a menu of noodle dishes that start at $6.99 and has fantastic food. I tried their lamb noodles and it was absolutely delicious and the broth really made the dish.

While everyone is all up in the ramen craze – I don’t see what the hype is all about.  I’ve tried it and it really isn’t $11.50 more tastier than your usual instant noodles at the groceries store.  So this weekend,  I traded in the ramen for some lamian. Magic Noodle (not to be confused with the low-carb  Miracle Noodle ) is located in a plaza in Scarborough and specializes in lamian ( 拉麵 ) , originating from the Northwest province of Lanzhou, China.  Lamian, which means “stretching noodles” is made from the stretching and folding of dough into strands; the thickness of the noodles is dependent on the number of times the dough is stretched. The place was packed full of people, both seated and waiting but we were seated in 15 minutes which isn’t too bad.  The eatery also features “sliced noodles” similar to a Pappardelle in thickness (though shorter in length) which hails from the province of Shanxi, China.  If noodles aren’t your thing, I highly recommend the steamed buns. We have been ignoring uptown new offering recently and have been sticking with some old favorites. So sticking with our ramen addiction, we went for some traditional Chinese hand-pulled noodle 拉麵 instead (Chinese Ramen). We arrive at Magic Noodle 大槐树 for lunch on a Sunday and it was packed with quite a wait but the service and turn over time was pretty quick. We got our table within 15 minutes which was very acceptable in my opinion. Cold Flavored Assorted Vegetables $3.25 We saw most table ordering this and decided to give it a try. It was just slightly pickled veggies which was sweet and slightly tangy which was a perfect side to the noodles. Sliced Pork Foot in Soy Sauce $4.99 Another cold dish but I have to say that I'm a bit bias on this since I like mine hot and melt in your mouth version but cold ones are more "al-dente"/springy in texture. But this was very flavorful and Ben did love it. Sizzling Tofu $1.50 Not sure why it's called sizzling but it was just your typical Chinese

A 24/7 treasure in Scarborough. Rolling in on a chilly evening at 3AM after a late-night shift, this was exactly what I needed. Upon entry, we were blessed with swell the welcoming of no line. Subtle foreign murmurs and amusing sights of girls stumbling in throughout. A young fella is seen through a window a long the kitchen continually working his magic (see what I did there) with both hands, clutching a log of dough, pulling and thwacking it against the table. "The apprentice taking place of the absent (regular) old man", my friend went on to tell a tale.

The standard expectation of a Chinese restaurant, quick and simple. A litre of water by your side to quench your own thirst and chili oil, salt & pepper and vinegar for taste. Food in 15!

Sizzling Tofu ($1.50)
Our tofu appetizer came first, and this was a true delight. Wow! So beautifully crispy, and seasoned in, what tasted like a fine mix of Chinese and Indian spices.

Hand-pulled Noodles with Shrimp Wontons & Dragon Bones ($7.99)
The broth was a plain Jane, but, I excitingly spiced mine up with four small spoons of chili oil. Perfection! The Dragon Bones were dry and truly lacked meat, a sad shame. The Wonton Dumplings were also much smaller than you'd expect - a teaspoon-sized goodie! But, putting that aside, the main focus was the almighty grail of hand-pulled noodles! Delightful in flavour, chewy and plopped in an amazing tangled bundle into your bowl.

Hand-pulled Noodles with Beef Haggis ($7.99)
Beef haggis is also a flavourful win. I believe that these would be an assorted range of meat innards. You can never go wrong with tripe and lungs!

Definitely will be back here for a quick late night feed. Cheap and satisfying! I would like to try their Green Onion Pancakes, "Special Snacks", as well as their other six skewers - they require much more of my tastings.

I tried their lamb noodles and it was absolutely delicious and the broth really made the dish. I suggest having this bowl of noodles with their chili hot sauce as it goes extremely well with the lamb. The plaza itself is already pretty busy after 6pm so I would suggest coming here either for breakfast or lunch when the lines die down.

It’s open 24 hours, has a menu of noodle dishes that start at $6.99 and has fantastic food.
