As the name say its actually magic noodle, taste service preparation ambience was all good. Its busy place with little wait everytime. As per cost servings are really great.
Loved the food and the place. Always busy so you might have to wait a bit. We had ordered 'The Magic' and cuttlefish balls and both were delicious. We had ordered a small serving and that in itself was quite filling. Service is quick and polite. We will be definitely returning to this place!
Wonderful, quick service. Serving size was great for me but the hubby could have eaten more lol! The food was fantastic though! We will definitely be returning to try more dishes!
Good fresh noodles, however the broth wasn't very good. And the meat was very tough and not good either. Wasn't tender and were not good cuts. Broths were over spiced or really salty. For example mine had a very overwhelming clove flavour to it, all I could taste were cloves. If they put a little more time into the rest of the dish it would be a great restaurant. Unfortunately they seem to rush through the rest of the dish and focussed all their attention on the noodles. Lots of room for improvement.
Came here on a Monday afternoon at 1p.m., and man, was the place packed! If we came any earlier, we would have had to wait. We were seated right in front of the open kitchen, so we saw our noodles being handmade and prepared. We also saw the knife cutting in action for the knife-cut noodles!
My family ordered the house noodles, which came with an egg, pork chop, beef tripe, lamb, etc. I ordered a lamb hand-pulled noodles, and it was absolutely fantastic. It was delicious, and very fragrant. When I gave my leftovers to my dad, he inhaled it all and even took two large sips of the broth... I guess he liked it very much! In fact, the broth smelled very much like Little Mongolian Sheep, so I was so afraid that it was all MSG. Fortunately, my family and I were not really thirsty after (minimal thirst), so my guess is that there was only a little, if none, MSG.
Magic Noodle and places like it are spreading like wildfire and rightfully so! This small little restaurant is popular for their hand pulled noodles, mostly doused in soup. The place inside is tiny and they do a good job of getting as many people in there as possible, but lineups do tend to be frequent despite being open 24 hours a day.
Noodle soups come in regular or large size and are roughly $7-8 respectively. I had the hand pulled noodle soup with roast duck and BBQ pork. The gf ordered the Original Beef Noodle Soup. The broth has a distinct flavor that isn't overpowering but lends itself well to apply other spices like pepper or chili oil. The roast duck and roast pork were good. The portion size of the meat was rather small, but the size of the meats make up for it. The hand pulled noodle is what really makes the whole dish stand out. They're uber long noodles that are soft and chewy, but soak up the broth flavor wonderfully. It's the real reason for the 4 stars.
We also ordered some lamb skewers and squid skewers. For $1.99 each, you get giant skewers that are aromatic and juicy. The char flavor is there and doesn't get overpowered by the cumin and other spices. I hate when those other places put so much damn seasoning that I cannot even taste the meat. You get the meat here.
The hand pulled noodles are incredible and worth the price of admission alone. Don't bring a group larger than 4 as it's a pretty small place. Food comes out quick and turnaround time reflects that, so don't be discouraged if you see a lineup. Make your way in.
Went to this place when they first opened, was really impressed. Their freshly made noodles are really good. Nice texture and soup base is good as well. Recommended.

Magic Noodle is located in Scarborough near Midland and Mcnicoll. Although it's quite close to me, I haven't had the chance of going until today.
It's not a huge restaurant, but has enough space for customers to be seated. It's also open 24/7 so I can imagine, they'd probably have a ton of business late at night when other stores are closed. When we walked in, we noticed that all of the staff members were sitting down eating. We figured the staff were on break or we were there at a wrong time. Yet, we were seated by the waitress and given a menu to order from. Each table had lemon water. The menu itself has a ton of beef and pork dishes; not enough seafood options. They are well known for their noodles which are hand pulled and cut a short distance from you (viewable through their looking glass). They have many soup options as well as side options.
Today we decided to order the Braised Beef Noodles and a Beef Wrap. Unfortunately, the wait to order our food was extremely long. I spent a good ten minutes watching the staff at Magic Noodle eating their food. A server got up to help two other tables (Asian) but fully ignored us. At one point, I was ready to walk out and finally when she looked in our direction, I waved. We ordered our dishes.
The soup was the first to come and the beef wrap took much longer so I had to watch my friend finish up the soup, as I starved myself. The soup broth was flavourful and nicely seasoned. The noodles with a bit of chilli sauce was soft and had a light flavour. Overall, I enjoyed the broth immensely. The beef wrap was a bit too oily for my liking but the flavours were great. It was again, nicely seasoned and I enjoyed the taste of the beef within the crispy wrap.
I would definitely be back for the soup as I think it may have been one of my favourite soups that I have tried in the area.
Magic Noodle is great partially because it's open 24/7. There's more to it than that though -- their handpulled noodles have great texture and flavour, and their sides are also lovely.
I particularly enjoy eating their lamb skewers, and I think they have one of the best lamb skewers in Scarborough. This is one of my favourite places to come for a midnight snack after I've been bowling, playing pool, or other activities. I've come here many times and the quality has been relatively consistent. This place is almost always crowded, and I don't always like the service here, but the food is worth it.
