Every Friday from 11:30AM – 2:00PM, Maman offers a prix-fixe menu of 3 course served on their breathtaking outdoor patio. Located at First Canadian Place in the financial district, Maman is owned by Toronto’s Michelin starred Chef Armand Arnali. Maman Toronto is a bakery, cafe and bar that serves family recipes inspired from the South of France. Their prix-fixe menu is simple – 2 starter options, 3 main options and ending with mini sweet bites along with a drip coffee or tea.
Maman Toronto is a lovely bakery/cafe located on the mezzanine of First Canadian Place offering a taste of Southern France. It was a little tucked away in First Canadian Place (where the food court is), but it has a very rustic yet inviting ambiance. The entire cafe was adorned with cute bunny ceramics with flowers, wooden communal tables, and mosaic tile flooring, so it was very Instagram-friendly. There are already plenty of Instagram photos of their pretty coffee cups for your perusal online. Their menu also changes daily, and they offer an assortment of baked goods, coffee drinks, sandwiches, salads, and more.
Nice atmosphere and nice food. I came here for the white chocolate lavender blueberry cake. The cake was soft and rich but not flavourful enough. I was hopping to taste the lavender flavour however the thing I got was pretty much only the sweet. I should say the pistachio cake was worth to try. The egg salad sandwich was good but the bun was not my taste. Overall I have a good meal here.

Everything is baked fresh daily, and from locally-sourced ingredients. Maman recently launched tapas dishes on their menu, and I had the pleasure of attending the media preview of Maman's new tapas menu unveiling two weeks ago. The new menu was created by Michelin-starred chef, Armand Arnal, whose dishes are family-inspired recipes. Chef Armand Arnal is the head chef at the acclaimed La Chassagnette in Arles, France, and he has definitely added a lot of French flair to our city with the addition of Maman. As part of their cinq-as-sept bar program (5 pm to 7 pm); they also have a carefully curated wine and cocktail list that perfectly complements the tapas dishes served.
Maman, meaning mother in French, is located on the mezzanine level of First Canadian Place directly beside the food terrace. They opened in summer 2015 in Toronto, but have just unveiled their new tapas menu created by Michelin-starred Chef
I really liked coming here for casual drinks after work. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. The lights were dim, there were candles out, and the crazy rush during peak hours were gone. It was a very calming setting.
I also love coming here for coffee - they have the cutest coffee cups. Be sure to stop by! Maman Toronto is located in FCP in the food court. They are open every day during the week for coffee, pastries, and other bites. They also have brunch on the weekend - which will be my next place to go for brunch!
The croque madame, or “maman” came out piping hot and it was a huge portion! Without the egg, the sandwich would still have been really filling and it was worth the $13 price tag. The side salad had a bit too much dressings, but it was refreshing after having a heavy sandwich.
Oh boy, I normally dislike the béchamel sauce as some tends to taste a bit too flour-y or bland, but this was incredibly flavorful and the sauce was not too thin nor thick. The cheese just slightly melted, creamy and buttery. Break the egg yolk and it will runs through your sandwich and mixes with the cheese and béchamel sauce, and it turns into this eating experience that is just beyond words. Give me more, now.
Maman launched their brunch menu this weekend and I knew I wanted to be first in line to try what my regular lunch spot had cooked up for me. Needless to say I'll be back.
I opted for the potatoes galette with bacon & mixed greens which arrived on a beautiful blue and white vintage plate and only set me back $12 which was a nice change seeing as I'm also dishing out $35+ for other Toronto brunch spots! So I decided to put some of my extra money to good use and got one of their hand made croissants to go.
So long story short, the service was amazing, the ambiance was exactly what I was looking for, the food was delicious and affordable so they've earned themselves a 5/5 as far as I'm concerned.
See you next weekend Maman and maybe the weekend after!
I love this place! I had gone to the one in New York and was so excited that they opened one in Toronto.
Went there on my lunch break, had a sandwich and salad that was delish! And of course took there famous chocolate cookie for a snack! You have to eat here!
Heard many good things about this place and I had to check it. Went for an early lunch and there was already a line. Everything looked so delicious but ended up ordering the Egg Salad sandwich, Pesto Zuchinni Salad and their famous Chocolate chip cookie.
The sandwich was disappointing only cuz the bread was hard as it was refrigerated. The egg salad was tasty and loved the Avocado in it. The pesto zuchinni salad was amazing. I love the combination of pesto and zuchinni. It was a good size portion. The cookie was huge and yummy! Must go back to try the other desserts and sandwiches/quiches.
