There is no sashimi restaurant. Change menu is Hot stone bowl bi bim bap restaurant from 24. october. available any rolls. change sign from Mt'Fuji to Epicure City BOM.
In this tiny low-key restaurant you'll find soft buttery sashimi, generous portions, and one of the better charashi dons in Toronto. What I mean by that is they don't skimp out on the sashimi, it doesn't taste like it came out of the fridge, and the rice in the charashi don is actually sushi rice.
If you're more of a salad person, there's also a sashimi salad, which is pretty good and surprisingly large. It consists of smaller cuts of salmon and tuna on top of a bed of lettuce, all topped with seaweed and sesame seeds. However, I would recommend asking for dressing on the side (if possible) because I found the sweet/spicy dressing a bit over-powering.
Overall the owners of Mt Fuji seem to put a fair amount of thought into their dishes. They claim to use organic seasonal greens and offer brown rice, which is healthier than white rice. Moreover, they serve both Japanese and Korean food, which isn't unusual but instead of serving the two types of cuisine separately, they have a few interesting fusion dishes like sashimi bibimbap and half-and-half eel/bulgogi bibimbap. Definitely worth checking out!
This place really puts a lot of care to their sushi and other dishes with the extra garnishes! However, occasionally the sushi has its fillings spilling out or it wasn't wrapped tight enough, but the taste was still great!
Small place but comfortable. Service is prompt and sashimi tasted fresh. Portions are generous and fairly priced. Would come back to try again.
The place is small but comfortable. The food was served very quickly. The service was good and the chef friendly and agreable. The food is fresh and delicious..maybe a little more expensive than what I would usually pay but not so much that I wouldn't recommend it. I had a very good dining experience.
Great food. Ordered mt fuji special and lotus chips with some hot sake. It was very good. Nice and good service.
I like this place but I really do not believe this is a single $ restaurant. Menu is pricey here but reasonable if you're here for the bento. Unlike other places that serves cheap cucumber sushi and tempura, the bento here is really unique (see photo) and the flavours in it really blends in well ! The rolls are a lil disappointment (in size) but they taste good ! Avg price for a meal is about $14 I'll say.
AMAZING!!!. I don`t understand the bad reviews. I am a regular at Mt Fuji. It is hands down one the best sushi places in Toronto. Their spicy salmon roll and tempura are great! The yam roll is so yummy and a great option for vegetarians. Their sashimi is so fresh!! Staff is friendly. Sure it`s bit more expensive than the other sushi places, but the quality is great. Totally worth it!!!
Great. I'm Japanese and I like it. Sure, there are a couple of places that might be a little better in town, but it's really quite good here. Fresh fish and good rolls.
Frequent flier here.... Nice mom and pop place with reasonable service, good food. Not someplace to go for a romantic high end evening out, but I love it nonetheless!
