I just ate a chocolate croissant here for breakfast and now I'm a big fan of this place. It's super cute with a nice front patio. They have amazing croissants and tons of other French pastries as well as desserts.

The croissants, par excellence. The hot chocolate during the winter months, divine. The attitude of the counter help needs to heat up like their warm oven. It isn't always doom & gloom. But close.

Best french bakery you'll ever try in TO. Baguettes are the best here! Made fresh daily, the desserts are just to die for. Need a birthday cake? just order from them you'll pay a bit more but you will have a great quality product.

Rahier Patisserie is a lovely place seated in the heart of of plushy Bayview just South of Eglinton for years. Lots of classic cakes and pastries adorn the display ready to be wisked away by people who have good taste in the fine things in life. Let's not forget the genuine butter croissants to go!

These days are particularly busy with the Christmas season. As such one of the missions was to get a Bûche de Noël (or Yule log) nicely decorated and with lovely mocha flavored cream. It's best to order ahead of time to avoid disappointment. I will enjoy this lovely classic cake with either a lovely bubbly or a good specialty coffee (or both ;).

You can consume a basic baguette sandwich or quiche prepared in advance followed by an individual-sized cake or tarte with a coffee. There are only a few tables available and most of them were occupied just before lunchtime.

What I missed was the great smell of excellent coffee. As a result this is a place where I would rather only come to pick up pastries and enjoy them elsewhere.

Extra help was available behind the counter yet most did not speak any French.

Traffic can be horendous in the area and so is parking. If walking/transit is not an option, I would suggest you have a designated driver to stay in the vicinity while others quickly go and pick up stuff.
On the other hand, some select store in the region do carry Rahier cakes so that might help if you are looking for one of their regular tasty cakes.
