My first time visit with my aunt during lunch time. Nicely decorated . Liked the green tea cup . We ordered bento 🍱. I ordered salmon. They serve you first green tea and miso soup and salad. Very good taste . Next comes the main box. Everything in that tastes very very good. The .5 deducted only for one thing - they repeat the same salad in the Bento box too🙁. The gesture of the serving lady was very very kind and nice irrespective of the crowd in the shop.
Will visit again with my family .
Decent sushi place!
I ordered their lunch special, and I chose spicy salmon roll and an avocado roll. In short, I received 12 pieces of sushi for 6.99 plus tax. Not bad at all.
I was not a fan of the spicy salmon roll. At all. It was super acidic. All the sour flavours overpowered the pieces of salmon. Also, there were not any panko crumbs added.
My friend's yam tempera roll was the best of its kind I've tasted.
I also took note of how fresh their avocado rolls were.
Their miso soup was pretty standard but up to par.
All in all, it's a decent sushi place. Their service is A1. Everyone was really nice and no one rushed us, which was a nice change from the other restaurants downtown.
There are at least 9 sushi restaurants on Bloor...and this one is my favorite. Sashimi is clean and always fresh which is a biggie for me. Maido is right next to the subway which makes finding this place easy. Give it a try!
The best Sushi place on Bloor and the Annex area. My favorite. I do not understand people who go to the other nearby restaurants to have a worse Sushi experience for the same price.
Great civilized Sushi place in an otherwise "cheap and sleazy" student focused bloor st strip. Allows you to enjoy your meal, rather than trying to push you out to increase their turnover. Probably owned/operated by Koreans, as the menu contains korean options as well (i.e. bi bim bap, ribs, etc...). Great value on their lunch specials.
