For a city of such size and diversity, Toronto does lack in good Vietnamese eateries (at least compared to places like Edmonton and Calgary). After a couple of mediocre experiences, fate (and BlogTO) brought me to this  place on the southern end of Chinatown.
The room is clean with the requisite Viet/Asian wall pictures but more modern-looking than most. The service was friendly and efficient. Menu encompassed all the staples: rice, noodles, pho and appetizers.
Food was fresh and tasty, reasonable prices and full of flavor. If getting the rice or noodle dishes, get the spicy pork skewer. Thoroughly recommended.

The service was FAST. The vegetarian salad roll was delicious in that it was fresh and I LOVE the basil leaves in the roll. The dip was not peanut based but I think it was hoisin sauce. The vietnamese pancake sounded really appealing. I was about to get it if it were not for I had another meal waiting for me. Definitely recommend stopping here for meal even though next door

Good rice dish. Tried their rice dish, tasted good with nice balance of meats, veggies, and an egg. Will return.

This Vietnamese restaurant in Chinatown is definitely underrated. The price is cheap and the portion is huge. And they also offer a lot of Vietnamese dishes which don't offer in other places, such as their Special Northern style vermicelli, with crab meat tofu, cinnamon sausage, tomatoes, and most surprisingly - snail! They serve with a bowl ginger sauce on the side for you to dip the snail meat. The broth was perfect, not too rich, but not too light. Will come back again.

Every time I want a nice soup, Bun Saigon is definitely my Go-to place. I am pescetarian and the fish soup is not made with meet broth. Plus, the service is fast and the menu has everything for every preferences. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a quiet place and excellent Vietnamese food.
