Random drive through Leaside this evening, as we were scouting for a place for dinner. We came upon the Leaside Pub, which looked fine on the outside. It looked fine on the inside too. It had a well used, comfy, neighbourhood pub feel to it. The place wasn't too busy in the early evening, so service was reasonably fast and efficient.
SWMBO took a walk off her usual path by selecting the Chili Nachos, sans jalapeños. A sizable portion arrived, with mildly seasoned chili. Heat seekers would be disappointed, but we were not.
On Saturday evenings Leaside Pub has specials menu, and I chose the 12 oz Striploin Steak for $13.99, including two sides. The steak was nicely seasoned. There were a couple of chewy bites, but overall my expectations were met.
Great service, Great Specials. Welcomed by a wonderful hostess/waitress. She legitimately takes an interest in her guests and spends time chit chatting with them and getting to know them.
I grabbed the "All Canadian Chicken BTL" with a garden salad. Great portion size and the waitress even offered a side of mayo for it.
Great Irish Pub atmosphere. Spacious yet rustic feel to it. There's a pool table which I believe is free to use (don't quote me).
Will come again.
