Revisited this regular haunt with my husband tonight for early dinner. As always, it's like coming home: take of your coat relax with a cup of tea and dig into aa well prepared meal. Overall, I give the total experience a solid 7/10. Service friendly and prompt, they had the music up a little loud for my taste. The appetizer was Buffalo Shrimp, 8 large deep fried shrimp dressed in a light Buffalo sauce with a delicious dip. They are quite addictive. Both of us had the 12oz Sunday prime rib dinner full loaded: mashed potatoes, crisp veggies, gravy, yorkshire pudding and horseradish. All in alll a really huge plate of very tasty food. The gravy was a little thin, but otherwise it was just the thing for a satisfying meal. Thanks guys!
My husband & I really enjoy this place. Relaxed atmosphere, well prepared, consistanly good food with reasonable portions. The service is friendly, and responsive too đź‘Ť
Had the club sandwich and cod sandwich. Comes with salad or fries and coleslaw. The club sandwich is a must try, coleslaw is nicely done. Recommended for lunch sandwiches.

Excellent local "pub"
Charming dark ambience...great variety of beers...with a wide array of dishes...even very good Indian good. Our "go to" local pub.
It was dinner time as we were heading up Yonge, and The Abbot caught SWMBO's eye. The Abbot is a very nice neighbourhood pub in an upscale part of town.
I felt salad-ish, and ordered the Steak & Mushroom Salad. A 5 oz Angus striploin with grilled portobello mushrooms. I found the steak just a little bit dry, but otherwise nicely done. The mushrooms were delicious. SWMBO opted for Fish & Chips. That and a pint each gave us what we needed.
I've only ever had the steak. It's always cooked exactly how I asked. The butter that comes on top is really yummy. The scallion is delicious. There fries are surprisingly good. Always good service. The menu seems very British. But that makes it cool. Nice little Spot. This, stack and parmigiano are the best places to eat.
Pretty Good for pub food. Second time going. Had the fish and chips both times. Decent, but portions could have been a bit bigger. Homemade Tartar sauce is good. Pass on the coleslaw, very bland. Server was ignorant and was rude when asking about the beers. Will be back, but just for the food.
Delicious food, wonderful decor. Food was quite good. I had the reliable fish and chips which was certainly up to par with many others that I've had. Our neighbour always raves about the lamb sausages and so one of my dinner companions ordered that and was quite satisfied. For dessert, I must recommend the chocolate mousse; however, my other two dinner companions could not say enough about the sticky toffee. All in all, a pleasurable dining experience.
Nice neighbourhood pub. Very consistent, friendly service, Shane is great, food always good, nice beers on tap
Really amazingly good Veggie Chili and home made chili sauce...genuine and friendly service. Family friendly with a dad friendly bar.
